How did Salhei and Aerrun met?

They both lived in Windhelm and ran into each other on the docks. No particularly momentous, lifechanging moment. Just a couple of kids who ran into each other and decided ‘yes we’re friends now’ and went to go play.

Okay, but think about this: Veezara is Salhei's descendant.

That’d be interesting for sure, considering he did have descendents outside of Cheydinhal, though he could never be certain on that. It’s a possibility I guess.

How did Salhei and Tainaava get together? (How dare you bring them apart like this? I'm still shocked ... and impressed by your cruelty.)

They were dancing around each other for ages, always uncertain if the other seriously reciprocated or if it was just banter, and there were a lot of bets in the Sanctuary about who would bring it up first.

It was Aerrun and Antoinetta when they ‘accidently’ locked them in a cupboard together so they’d get it over with already ;)

Vicente was the only person who won in the betting ring on that one.

Has there ever been a contract Salhei and Aerrun did together?

An official contract they were both assigned to was one that took them to the Imperial City where they had to hunt down a pair of twins from the Motierre family and retrieve some documents that were incriminating to the Brotherhood, as well as kill the twins.

They had a very close run in with Adamus Phillida, barely pulling off the contract, but they managed to kill the Motierre twins and secure the documents before escaping. Unfortunately, Phillida locked down the city for a few weeks, which made contracts in the area much more difficult for a while.

Tell us more about the poor Argonian who absolutely did NOT deserve the shit you did to him AKA Salhei.

Okay how about…

He was very timid in childhood, but developed his fiery and confident personality after joining the Dark Brotherhood

His knives were his bonus after assassinating a noble in Solitude without raising any kind of alarm

Literal wall of meat by adulthood so you can understand why people were impressed with the job mentioned above

He calls his knives Slicer and Ripper

His descendants continued to run the Cheydinhal Sanctuary until its fall in the Great War

Always goes to sleep with a leg out from under the sheets, wakes up completely cocooned

He was offered the Dark Gift by Vicente but turned it down

Can actually cook really well, but prefers Antoinetta’s food

Had a relationship with Teinaava

Was purposefully sent away from the Sanctuary before the Purification

Spent well over twenty years searching for Aerrun after she disappeared and only ever heard rumours that a woman matching her description was seen entering the gate in the Nibenay Basin, which closed behind her

Trained his own children as Shadowscales before they had to be sent to Black Marsh to serve as royal assassins - only one returned to Cheydinhal and could not say if any others survived or were sent to other sanctuaries

Basically became Assassin Dad by the time he reached middle age

Served as Speaker of the Black Hand after Aerrun vanished and a new Listener was named

Has a soft spot for animals but will never admit it

Was confused by Aerrun’s depression, but supported her through it and didn’t attempt to put her down for it

Finally understood her after the Purification was over, which tempered his fire somewhat

By the time of his death, he was greatly respected by the Brotherhood for his long service, his abilities, and his wisdom

Made a grave marker for Aerrun that he put alongside Lucien’s grave when he finally accepted that she was gone

After Aerrun was arrested, he was the one sent to try and find her

Realised quickly that Aerrun had lost her memory due to her change in behaviour when he saw her in Skingrad

Lucien asked him to keep tabs on her - he’d been doing so long before then
