For those of you who love novelty books, author-illustrator Salina Yoon's "My Chanukah Playbook" (2009) is an absolutely fantastic interactive book for the holiday. Starting with a tray of wonderfully sturdy gold foil-covered coins (or "gelt") stored in the front cover, the book walks kids through participatory holiday activities, from lighting the chanukkiah (the actual name, it explains, for the specific 8-branched menorah that we light at Chanukah) to putting money in the tzedakah, or charity, box for those less fortunate.
