Trendsetter: Sally Wheat
We’re so excited to kick off a new series here on our blog today. We will be featuring some of our favorite trendsetters and having them curate a collection of their favorite things from Laurier Blanc.
When thinking about who would be our first in the series, we immediately thought about Sally Wheat of Sally Wheat Interiors. Sally began her design business in 2006, and since then, has become one of Houston’s most well-known designers. Her design style is a mix of elegant, chic, and eclectic. She combines vintage finds and modern art, for example, to create the most beautiful space. She’s all about style and sophistication while still making sure the space is functional. Her work has been featured in Domino Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, and Better Homes & Gardens, to name a few. Let’s take a look at her favorites from our gallery and why she loves each piece. Thanks, Sally!
1. Reflections Occasional Table – I love the modern shape of this side table. You could also use two for a coffee table.
2. Alexandra Von Furstenberg Stealth Console Table - Total splurge worthy; this is a dream piece. It would elevate a whole room.
3. White Molded Indoor Outdoor Plastic Armchair – I love the elegant, modern lines of these outdoor chairs. They would also look amazing with an old wood table in a breakfast or dining room.
4. Large Pandora Amethyst Satin Brass Box - Love love love these boxes; they’re so Kelly Wearstler without the steep price tag. It would be great on a stack of books and functional for remotes.
5. Marble Tray with Polished Brass Handles - Beautiful tray for parties, and it could also be used as a decorative vanity tray.
6. Brass Model of Russian Luger Handgun - I have this gun and love it!! It’s so unexpected and unique.
7. Ivory Mink Faux Fur Throw - I have this throw, too, and love it. It’s the softest throw ever, adds great texture, and is machine washable.
8. Meyelo Coil Necklace - Such a stylish choker. I love the way it looks like a snake wrapped around the neck.
9. Katie Design Rosary Ring - I have one of Katie’s rings that I literally wear every day. I would love to add a few of these to the stack.
10.The Lion Cuff Bracelet – I love almost any lion type jewelry and this one is at the top. The scale makes it a great statement piece. Bonus points that it forms to your wrist, big or small.
