the “padme and qui gon go ship part shopping on tatooine” part of tpm only gets funnier in context of the broader star wars universe.
like. canonically, jedi have operations running on tatooine almost perpetually. qui-gon could’ve just sent a message to the temple to be like. hey can you send someone with local currency over to give us a hand pls
but instead he gambles on a child
like. I’m just imagining them landing on tatooine and obi wan is like “ok cool I’ll just comm quin and–“
qui-gon, thinking ab all the shit he’ll get if he has to be bailed out by tholme’s former padawan on a “cushy” wealthy planet negotiation job: no no no it’s fine we’ll do literally anything but that
I always loved the color-coding of the various B1 Battle Droid types:
Infantry Droid
Commander Droid
Security Droid
Pilot Droid
This was a thing that ACTUALLY EXISTED folks!
I especially love the “dodgy value” promotion at the bottom of that second image! Star Wars was encouraging human/alien romances as far back as 1999!
“Tonsil tennis!” Lol!
he loves me so, and it all suits me fine
Is it me or is Obi-Wan saying "its a droid control ship"
The same face as

TPM-fans, lend me your ears for a moment!
I listened to a video that talked about SW, and it seems like the three most watched SW entries on Disney+ are “Andor”, “A new Hope”, and TPM--in this exact order!
This gives me so much joy that I wanted to share this piece of information with you all! A show naturally has a longer running time, so I am not surprised that one of those would have the most watched minutes. And Episode 4 was the original “Star Wars”, so this came as no surprise to me either. But our TPM? Grifters and people like them always talk so much shit about it and act like only a small part of the fandom like it. Disney+ contradicts them! It would be impossible for TPM to be #3 in the Top 10 if there were no kids and teens liking it as well. I mean, who gets to decide what the whole family watches before bedtime? ^_-
I fear, I don’t have a link to the video, but people who know how to check such data may check the data!?
