Shado was a new character introduced in season 2, eddisode 2 called "New RoomEdd", wherein the main trio prepare for a new South African male roommate only to find out that she's a female. Sharon, Shado's South American neighbour counterpart, was also introduced. Just like the boys, Shado wears her own colour coded hoodie: a black hoodie with a zip. It is revealed that she's a PowerEdd fangirl and after a tiny competition between the boys to see who can get her attention, Edd uses that to his advantage.

Some fans have speculated she was there to replace a main character who left in season 1, despite rarely ever being shown throughout season 2. Shado made various appearances throughout the season, including background/unspoken cameos. Her longest airtime being season 2, eddisode 2 and the shortest being a gag wherein Matt claims that every girl falls for him at first sight, the boys turn to look at her for an answer, and she just shakes her head 'no' with an unimpressed look on her face.

In season 3, it is revealed that Tom has a crush on Shado and throughout the season, they have a will-they-won't-they relationship until it's too late. Tord, the main character who had left in the epic season 1 finale, comes back to claim revenge secretly by capturing Shado's heart, knowing this will crush Tom. Even though it is a revenge plan, he finds himself falling for her either way. Tord suspects it's her 'superpower' that's controlling him, thus resulting in him cutting her hair in anger in the season 4 hour-long finale. (Shado has the power to get the opposite sex to do anything for her with just a flip of her hair.) At the end of the finale, it is revealed that Shado chose Tord due to unforeseen and unpredicted events.
Fans have been waiting for years to learn what the characters are up to in the future. Whilst there is some knowledge of what happens to the main trio and Tord from season 1's "WTFuture Has Ahedd", not much is known about Shado, except from the last episode of the series. It is suspected that she now works with Red Leader/Tord due to the red spy suit she is wearing.
