With All Star Weekend coming this weekend we take a look back at our Top 5 Slam Dunk Contest Sneaker Moments
Brent Barry shocked everybody with his athleticism and took home the trophy in the '96 Dunk Contest by taking off from the free throw line. Even today in the contest he stands as the only player to technically take off from the actual line. Dr.J and MJ have all had their feet on the line. The red colorway of the Air Zoom Flight was a PE for Barry for All Star Weekend. Its light weight was perfect for the contest. Even funnier, today Barry has turned that Slam Dunk trophy in a bowl he's said to have used for salsa dipping and holding candy. Lol. Brent's a funny guy.
