Recently, I've read a Chloe salt fic that shows Chloe getting arrested after the events of Miracle Queen, and she and her parents talk to a lawyer about what to say during the trial, and when they propose to argue that HawkMoth manipulated Chloe - which is objectively true, regardless of your stance of Chloe's character -, the lawyer shoots it down, because... HawkMoth is a pathetic excuse of a super villain that's been fighting Ladybug and Cat Noit for a year without getting any results
But like - how exactly does being a bad tactician makes someone physically unable to manipulate an emotionally vulnerable child 😑?
Following that logic, there's no way Chloe could have ever bullied Marinette, since APPARENTLY, Chloe has a low I.Q or whatever 🙄
This is why I think the definition of 'salt' is too broad.
I complain that the show is presenting bad moral lessons in some episodes. I back up my claims with child development facts. I get labeled a salter.
This person ignores the basics of law because they're pissy about a character and have an axe to grind. That's just 'salt' too?
These two things are not the same.
Never try to apply logic to think kind of salt. It's just a tantrum in prose. There is a reason I don't read it.
