Indulge in the creamy goodness of homemade ice cream with this Salt & Straw inspired recipe. Customize it with your favorite mix-ins for a delightful treat!
Ingredients: 2 cups heavy cream. 1 cup whole milk. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Pinch of salt. 1/2 cup mix-ins of your choice chocolate chips, chopped nuts, cookie dough, etc..
Instructions: With a whisk, mix sugar, vanilla extract, salt, heavy cream, and whole milk in a bowl until the sugar is completely mixed in. Put the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn it for the amount of time the manufacturer says, which is usually 25 to 30 minutes. Add your mix-ins during the last 5 minutes of churning and keep going until they are evenly spread. Put the ice cream that has been churned into a container that can go in the freezer. Freeze for at least 4 hours, or until it is firm. Serve and have fun!
