2 ⧽. if you could sit down and finish any completely new fic without anything stopping you (time, tiredness, etc), what would you write? tell us about it if you want! God there are truly sooo many fic ideas Lock and I have that it makes it hard to choose. I suppose the easy answer is HGAU since it's technically "new" in that we haven't posted it yet. But really we're like, 6 chapters into writing it, so I think I'd rather seen this one through. For something we haven't started at ALL, Lock and I have this Royal AU on the backburner that would be SUCH fun to tackle. It would likely be a much shorter fic--more along the lines of Baten Kaitos than TAMN or HGAU--but we've been enamoured with the idea of it for a while now. Definitely going to have to go with that! :D
12 ⧽. what's a song or two you associate with [insert fic]? THERE'S LIKE. A BUNCH OF SONGS ON OUR HGAU PLAYLIST ALREADY, GOD. It's difficult because, just like TAMN, we wanna do an animatic once we're done HGAU, and we kept our TAMN-song pretty close to our chests until we DID the animatic. So, on the one hand, I don't want to come out and just post the possible animatic song like a year or two before we ever make said animatic. But at the same time, no other song on our playlist encompasses the ENTIRETY of HGAU so well. A few come close but...
With that said though, here's our pick:

16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
I mean I can understand why people like Generic Caretaking Dom Top Who's Always Right About What His Sub Wants/Generic Woobie Sub Bottom Who Needs To Be Taken Care Of At All Times (it gets them off! a fine reason to write fic!) but I can't relate and frankly I don't want to read the fic.

well someone (can't imagine who) has been writing me really hot porn for battleship in fic based on video games generally, I'm really fond of stuff that gets pretty far from the actual video game world but makes an effort to incorporate details of the game mechanics anyway. Like, I like when it's far enough away from the game that there really is no obligation and it would probably be easier to leave that out BUT it makes for a fun Easter egg or an interesting worldbuilding detail that might become a plot hook.

idk that everyone's ignoring it but I did not see any fanart and barely any discussion of Scar trying to trick BigB into getting into one of Etho's wall boats in Past Life and the fact that Scar cut it out of his video completely whereas it's basically a centerpiece of BigB's!
