In both the region, noon tea is made differently. It is said that this Salt tea/pink read has high content of caffeine. I have seen people drinking some 10 cups in one session. The procedure of brewing the tea is a bit time consuming. The leaves are boiled for some 30 minutes or more. Local soda is mixed. After the leaves turn to blood red, then water is added and leave for cool. One pot is used for 2 days or more. Lated the brewed tea is added in milk and salt is added. Dry fruits and malai are also added. .
