Character Notes- Salutaries
[Picrew Credit]
Examples shown: Vess and Saan.
Salutaries: when first developed on an alternate, now-dead Thousand Year War-era Skaro, the Salutaries were intended to bolster Kaled numbers by being pure Kaled DNA, and be able to birth pure Kaled children (as Thals were targeting and decimating Kaled women and children).
Salutaries were also chimeras regulated by onboard computers. These genetics can be readily edited by an Admin and mutations corrected before they get a footing. The Salutaries proved to have better damage-resistance and tolerance for radiation. Otherwise fatal injuries healed quickly, or manual repairs could be undertaken.
Vess and Saan were subjected to advanced experiments (alt-life projection and immunoglobulin production for Davros, respectively).
On the dead Skaro, a fast-moving, Thal-created meningococcal disease swept through Kaled territory, even killing all 50 Dalek Embryos and Davros himself. Vess and Saan were left behind (with Saan badly injured). Survivors fled the planet with the Salutaries.
Salutaries have unnatural eye/hair colors, used to easily identify them. They cannot escape and blend in among other Kaleds. Their personalities are suppressed. When smuggled to the Integrated Dalek Empire, the Salutaries were edited again to have natural hair/eye colors. There's a secret registry of all Salutaries by the Kaleds who smuggled them.
