Katherine didn’t like the idea of doing back. It had been in Mystic Falls that all this mess had started. She had fallen for Damon and Stefan. She had left them and then when she finally was about to be free of Klaus because she had found the doppelganger and they were bloody there. Not to mention that doppelganger herself and what she had done. Turned Katherine human as could be and with no where to turn but to hope she could remind them about what they had. “Damon,” she called out.
@salvationbound (liked for a starter)
It seemed a long standing tradition in a way --- getting off on the wrong foot with a Mikaelson. She had called Rebekah a bitch, slapped Klaus, and trapped Finn. Somehow Elijah had remained outside of the norm, but no doubt because he had a polite facade.
Which left Kol.
She had to admit what she knew of him was based mostly on the stories that Klaus had told her (and they did not exactly paint Kol in the most flattering of lights). He was reckless and manipulative (wait, weren’t those Mikaelson characteristics?). And of course they had gotten off on the wrong foot. She wasn’t going to assign blame; instead she was going to try to make it right.
She had two glasses in hand, one of which she set down in front of him. “It’s a peace offering. Before you call it a lousy one, I’ll have you know it’s from a bottle Klaus had stashed away. Which probably means it is one of a kind...”

“ ‘your kind’ ?” Sydney repeated. Not necessarily offended, because to be offended one also had to be surprised, she was more pretending to be offended at the Shadowhunters comment. “That’s not a little bit biased or racist at all.....”

“I don’t suppose I can talk you out of this…?” But Evie already knew the answer to her question; it appeared that he was just as stubborn as she was when she really dug her heels in. Which she now intended to do, crossing her arms at her chest, “…Then I’m going with you. You need backup.”
A starter for @salvationbound
It seemed like an eternity had passed since the last I’d stepped past the familiar threshold, the warmth of my family home rushing back over me in a wave of nostalgia, pausing just long enough to draw in a deep breath, gaze darting around the near-deserted courtyard, head tilting in curiosity at the girl, it unbelievable how she’d grow over the years, though her features I recognised immediately, moving silently across the tile. “Seems a little late for you to still be awake, no?”
