It’s been so long since she’s seen stars like this.
“They’re beautiful, aren’t they?” She’s breathless, staring, absolutely transfixed as she gazes above her. At first she’s sure she’s talking to herself, but when the presence of someone next to her becomes obvious, she can’t bring herself to stop. After so long without speaking, her voice catches in her throat. “The stars. Shining like that. A million, billion little worlds we’ll probably never see, all existing at the same time, in the same sky. Somewhere out there, even the ones farthest away from us are sharing it. Somewhere out there....”
Aqua turns, a soft, sad smile settling as she finally seems to notice the woman beside her. “I’m sorry. It’s been so long since I’ve seen them like this, I can’t quite help myself. Are you stargazing, too?”
