The Path of Fireflies by museaway Rating: Mature Word Count: 60433 Summary: After his humanity is restored, Dean wakes up in bed with Castiel, a wedding ring, and no memory of the past twelve years.

A sweet fic with lots of fluffy moments and a super sweet setting with a great overall storyline (waking-up-married-in-the-future fuck yeah!) and a very satisfying, clever ending.

Good Things Do Happen by trinityofone Rating: teen and up audiences Word Count: 10947 Summary: A Winchester Family Christmas, 2010. AKA, Best zombie Christmas ever!

I put off reading this because I judged a fic by its title and it sounded like pure crack in a cheesy Christmas setting, both of which I tend to avoid. It's not crack at all, nor is it cheesy. It is sweet and clever and sad and happy and lovely. I don't want to give too much away but this fic includes elements of "pining!Dean" and (one of my favourites) "everyone ships it" within a simple but also super clever premise (aha the little twist is brilliant!). One of my all-time favourite fics.

Unknown Quantities by Xylodemon Rating: Explicit Word Count: 8568 Summary: No one ever tells Dean anything. (or: Dean Winchester and the not-relationship crisis of 2014)

They snog in the first line and yet this is a tension-filled, hot and adorably awkward fic of Dean and Cas fumbling to work out who is on what page (self!denial Dean doesn't help the matter) in an in-character way.
