In the fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials, “daemons” are external manifestations of a person’s soul that can talk and behave independently. They take the form of different animals and shape shift until settling on one during puberty. Below are my Top 5 Favorite Stucky AUs:

On the floor their daemons lay all tangled up in one another, stroking each other, telling small, laughing stories in their daemon-voices.
