Sam Huff makes the tackle in a 38-34 victory over his former team at RFK Stadium Sunday October 3, 1967.
In 1960 Giants LB Robert "Sam" Huff became the first player to be wired for sound on field -- accomplished with a "small" transistor on his back for an exhibition game against the Bears.
The Giants and the NFL had reluctantly agreed to let CBS mic up Huff for an episode of The Twentieth Century, an anthology series hosted by famed newsman Walter Kronkite. Huff's episode was titled, "The Violent World of Sam Huff" which initially aired on Oct. 30, 1960.
