How many of you are fans of the "old-style" wrestling?
I grew up watching the hub of NWA (National Wrestling Alliance) wrestling. From '59-until the 1st day of '82, Sam Muchnick was in charge of the epic St. Louis Wresting Club.
To me, there was no better. The crap that McMahon, Jr. is putting is not is not up to the quality of the sport from this great time. As reported by the Post-Dispatch on Sam's death, December 31, 1998, they reported:
"Sam was probably the dean of professional wrestling," said former world champion Harley Race. "He was a brilliant promoter and all-around decent guy."
I have been lucky to have found via Google Search a 46 episode interview with Larry Matysik & Gary Cubeta going through the history of St. Louis Wrestling Club / Wrestling at the Chase / Championship Wrestling from early '59 to the end of '83. I have been listening to it for the last 3 days, gone through 25 MP3s. Loving it, reliving a lot of my childhood. Matysik gives his personal recollections, talking straight stuff, be it good or bad, he tells it like it is.

I have an earlier blog on Wrestling at the Chase, here is the link the earlier blog
