Meet Samantha Rayne
Say ‘hi’ to Sam, a bubbly young adult ready to conquer the world! Or at least try to make a mark and become famous and wel loved!
As a child, she lost both her parents in an armed robbery gone terribly wrong of their jewellery store. With no family left to take care for her, Sam grew up in an orphanage. It wasn’t an awful experience, but it left her wanting love and recognition she never really got from the adults there. She loved to socialise and tried to make friends with every new kid coming into the orphanage. Amongst her peers, she was known as the orphanage’s goofball, cheering everyone up when they had a bad day. Furthermore, she had a passion for music and she loved to perform, dance and sing, whatever the occasion. She started to dream about becoming a world famous performer and musical genius. Oh, and she really likes purple :-)
When she was about to age up in a young adult, the lady running the orphanage called Sam to her office. Miss Jackson was a strict (but just) headmistress and Sam was trying to figure out what she had done wrong to be called in Miss Jackson’s office.
Miss Jackson: Take a seat, Sam.
Sam (nervous): Have I done something wrong, Miss Jackson?
Miss Jackson (smiling): No Sam, for once you haven’t been caught doing any mischief. Your birthday is coming up in a few days.
Sam (hesitating): Yeah, about that…
Miss Jackson (interrupts her): Don’t worry about a party, as long as you kids don’t spike any drinks, like last time, you can party. But we’ll keep an eye on you! But that is not why I called you here.
Miss Jackson (taking a file): Once you’re a young adult, you will not be able to live in this orphanage. You know that.
Sam (talking softly): Yeah, but where am I supposed to go?
Miss Jackson (sliding the file on her desk to Sam): You can go wherever you’d like to go, girl. Your parents left you some money, didn’t you know? Once you reach young adulthood, you will get access to your in heritance. And that is 20 000 Simoleons, to be precise. It’s not a fortune, but it’ll be enough to buy a small starter home. I’ll help you to find a house and to organise your move.
Sam (brightening up, stars appearing in her eyes): Can I go to Del Sol Valley?
(But, yeah… The first thing our birthday girl did with her inheritance, was going on a shopping spree and gift herself a nice new set of outfits…)
