Hit or miss. Hugh Laurie hosted twice (2006 & 2008) — one was excellent and hilarious and perfect; the other was just okay. I’m also kinda nervous, but for Martin I will put up with anything. :-)

What I last said to a family member: Texted my son in Fairbanks AK this morning. "Earthquake?"
One place that makes me happy and why: Alaska. Just got back from visiting said son and want to move into his cabin and write, write, write. Only thing is that he lives in a "dry" cabin. No, that doesn't mean no alcohol. It means no water. So - outhouse. Ugh.
How many blankets I sleep under: Sheet and one blanket, year-round.
Favourite beverage: Coffee. My current partner is coffee, as I'm having a long-term love affair with it.
The last movie I watched in the cinema was: The Monty Python live stream with my sister. Before that it was the second part of the Hobbit with my kids in D.C. at Christmas.
Three things I can’t live without: My laptop, the internet and coffee. And cats. But that's four. Maybe the laptop and internet can count as one? Oh - I forgot air conditioning. And plumbing. And my Dyson vacuum cleaner. Dental floss? How many is that now?
Something I plan on learning: I'm "relearning" French with duolingo now and want to learn Italian too.
A piece of advice for all my followers: Life is short - do what makes you happy. That's what I tell my kids - and they )the Alaskan hippy and the NYC hipster) have taken it to heart.
