Hi, Broccoli!!! 👋🏻

So, My Friend Jochen is about Seb Vettel accidentally time travelling to the 1960’s and meeting his crush *ahem* hero Jochen Rindt.

This was inspired by an interview I remember seeing of Seb openly admitting that he has a crush on the late champion and how it’s a “shame” he never got to meet him in person. Well, now he can in my fic!…….when it comes out. No idea when that’ll be. 😅

Anaria is actually the name Ariana mixed around. And it sounds so cool!

Hakur I based off of the Icelandic word for Hawk.

Sol is just... Sol. It works for him with the golden wings and all. Makes you think of the sun.

Girad is based off the name Jared, and is more French sounding.

Since the humans from Aborsken have more French sounding names, I looked up some to come up with Dyon. It's a different spelling and pronunciation of Dion.

Hali... I just wanted it to sound like Haley. So yeah. Haley but spelled differently.

Sylvae I completely made up on my own.

For the gods, I sat down and came up with gibberish that I thought sounded good.

So yep, that's how I named the characters! Thank you for asking!

Cutie marks are from My Little Pony. They’re essentially are like tattoos that show off the most prominent piece of your being, either a personality trait or skill. Ex. a professional musician has a musical note as their cutie mark.

So I’m not sure what 😈 means to you but I trust you haha

Oh my gosh, I loved My Little Pony as a kid! I didn’t know that’s what those marks are called. They’re super cute. As for the smiling devil emoji, let’s just say I’ve brutally tortured Sam Winchester enough times to probably fill three books. Maybe more. That, and I’m just evil to characters, and I also adore some “problematic” ships, and darkships.

I’m curious, what made you choose to name your fic Growing Pains?

That's such a good question, thank you! I wanted to emphasize their relationship going back to when they were kids while also playing on the actual meaning of the phrase, because they're both painfully oblivious to each other's feelings, and well, the pain grows until it peaks and they are united. I thought I was being smart for a second there, but explaining it made me realize maybe I wasn't after all lol.
