Mspec lesbians/gays are not real! Their labels are inherently homophobic, lesbophobic, biphobic and transmisogynistic.ย
Don't call me the Q slur. If you choose to reclaim the Q slur for yourself, thatโs your prerogative. Just acknowledge that not everyone in the community does. As such, I do not agree with it being used as a communal term.
The saying ofย โsexuality is fluidโ is not necessarily always true. It can be for some people and rigid for others. But thatโs about it. Pushing this on gays and lesbians is just straight up homophobia.
Strictly aroace people (especially cis aroaces) and cishet aces/aros cannot be oppressed by LGBTQ non-aspecs.
Elaborating on the former, allonormativity and amatonormativity are aspects of cisheteronormativity. LGBTQ non-aspecs do NOT get lauded or accepted by society for having gay sex and being in gay relationships. Likening LGBTQ non-aspecs to cishet non-aspecs is disingenuous.
i get we're all wary of social media moderation teams but there literally is a trans pride animation on the like button. and the philly pride flag has existed for a long time now. and considering how scuffed the intersex flag animation looks i doubt the progress flag would work very well at all. i know things have been hard but the like button animations are simply not a part of the issue
given the current climate this pride especially i feel i must mention that i love my trans friends, i stand with trans people in the fight against transphobic legislation and those who would enforce it, and this blog is not a good place for you to be if you do not vibe with that
Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who was murdered on the first day of Pride month as well as Indigenous History Month. He died protecting his trans husband. Homophobia and racism arenโt marks of the past, and this is a heart breaking reminder of that.
Praying for a safe journey back to the spirit world, Uncle โค๏ธโ๐ฉน๐ฆ
Today is the anniversary of the death of Jonathan Joss (King of the Hill, Parks and Rec). Jonathan Joss was an Indigenous, gay man who died protecting his transgender husband, on the first day of Pride month. Today we remember him and how he protected his family.
People demand fans of colour to be soft & gentle & have articulate thought out criticisms at all times. Never be wrong never be loud never be mean you have to coddle White fans and creatives, otherwise you're part of the problem. Never mind that your whole experience in fandom has been one macroaggression after another. Never mind that fandom can never be your escapism, because the discrimination you face in real life is often present in both the media you love and the fandom you participate in. Never mind that even when you are soft & gentle & articulate people will still get angry. Just shut up and let White people go to their beautiful fantasy world where people like you don't exist
people will describe their incredibly nebulous sexuality to you that theyโve never been able to define and the whole time youโre thinking that sounds like bisexuality brother
So I came across this old reblog of a deactivated user called @/lunarbisexuals, and there was an old bi positivity post of how bisexuality is not and never was "rigid" or "limiting".
These are their images.
I'm sharing this to affirm bi people that their bisexuality is broad and beautiful. ๐๐๐
And anyone who tells you otherwise is a biphobic fool!
When I say "bisexuality is broad and beautiful", I mean that every single bisexual person experience bisexuality differently ๐๐๐
I'm not saying that every single bi person is "gender blind" (I'm not), I'm just saying it's vast and all-encompassing, regardless if you have a preference or not.

I ask lesbians specifically, as I used the lesbian flag for the customization (no shit, sherlock).
Which one do you like the best? Whether it be based on visual appeal alone, marketability, etc.
The way Korra was raised piss me off so bad. Like, oh, wow, the 17yo girl that you've kept locked up and isolated her whole life without even allowing her to have friends her age, that you people trained only in the elements and never gave any actual political training doesn't know how the world works??? Who would've thought!!! They fucked her over so badly
And I don't think the story about the Red Lotus trying to kidnap her when she was a kid works as a good excuse either.
Something I hate about the show, is that the narrative didn't emphasize how the extreme sheltering is actually neglect. Korra was indeed severely neglected.
If the writers could acknowledge that Toph being extremely sheltered by her parents is tragic, why couldn't they do the same with Korra? The poor girl didn't even know how money worked, for goodness sake ๐ญ๐ญ
