This is mostly based off thewiglesswonder's (I am too scared to directly @ them) posts about Pantalone hating children and being hated by 8yo Dottore in turn, because I think it would be absolutely comical and rather accurate to how certain other creatures are.
This is personal experience (secondhand thru stories and firsthand thru reptiles) but cats and dogs seem to know when someone is Not A Fan and react accordingly by doing everything in their power to latch onto them and convince them otherwise. Pantalone has it even worse, because it happens with children.
He feels a pair of eyes on him and KNOWS that when he turns around some tiny snotty kid is going to be there staring at him, and nothing he does is going to get them to go away until someone they know collects them. He despises it every single time.
It's bad enough that anytime something needs to be done with Arlecchino involving the Hearth, he sends a subordinate instead because he will, without fail, get mobbed by a bunch of small children.
