Root makes a habit of jumping in front of her, because she can’t loose her. They have such a short time together
About a year after the fall of Samaritan, Root starts mixing her formula for immortality

Shaw finds out that Root can’t die when Root gets shot in the head, between the eyes. It just passes through, and only a few minutes later, Root opens her eyes again. Theres a small wound but its already healing up. Shaw can’t believe it.
As they return to their apartment, Root hands her a ring and a vial
“Would you like to spend eternity with me?”
