Sam with personality is back!
GEN V 2.06 "Cooking Lessons"
gen v (2023-) 2.06, "cooking lessons"
the sam x emma crumbs that gen v gave us today got me like
i didn’t know how gen v would handle emma and sam’s relationship this season, but i’m actually really enjoying it so far! i find it so refreshing that emma sticks up for herself and doesn’t immediately forgive sam for all the damage he caused. i think she also recognizes that she was naive and that sam was right about some things. she knows what he’s been through, but that doesn’t make it any less painful that he was the first person to ever make her feel so small that she shrank without purging. i don’t think that ever really goes away.
i do really like that sam’s apology included him acknowledging that he didn’t want to go back to the way things were last year. they are different now, but that doesn’t mean they can’t grow back together. i for one would like to see it
The best thing about Gen V is that it is bi! MarieJordan are a married couple who have no eyes for anyone else; Marie and Jordan are both bi...and Jordan "hates her so much it makes them look stupids" their way through sex with a hookup...and Marie gets the best of both worlds in making love with them and she loves it. Cate totally loves Marie, but she's also her worst nemesis, as well; Cate plays Number 1 Rank at the school to get with Number 3, who's also her boyfriend's best friend...who's also in love with her boyfriend (which he reciprocates). Sam would be with Jordan in a heartbeat...but he also would with Emma. Emma loves Sam, but is trying to finese her way into a threesome with 2 girls...and would at one point, with 2 guys (honestly the girl's a smart opportunist).
That's not the plot. ...but it is and it's not even exaggerated.
You know, I wasn't sure why they put in the whole thing with Emma and Greg this season. It just seemed so out of place. But that's when I realized, it's actually just the culmination of a plot line they had been setting up since last season... Emma's quest for a threesome.
How do people feel about Sam and Emma vs Greg and Emma? I feel like Sam has had a lot of growth this season. I know Sam really hurt Emma in the first season. I am curious if they could work (if we get a 3rd season) now that Sam has more exposure to the real world and he's done some work on himself and Emma seems to be in a better place. I loved the inherent trust they had in each other in the first season (until things went bad)
I wasn't sure if anything would actually happen with Emma and Greg. And now he's at school. She can't go back. She's part of the resistance. He's not. I wonder if we're gonna see him again.
(Also Greg's actor hasn't been a part of the press so the kiss in the finale surprised me cause I figured if he matters as a character and love interest maybe he'd have been included)
