Summary: A small collection of my own ideas on how our Mafia men react to people flirting with you.

A/N:These are kinda, gonna lead nicely into the next headcannons on the 20th but that’s all I’ll reveal for now. But I think y’all are gonna like them, they literally took a day to write.

Sam 

Sam is the definition of a protective boyfriend.

Not controlling though as he gives you freedom of course. 

But he’s still very protective, for many reasons. 

First and foremost, you're an automatic target because your boyfriend is a Caporegime. 

So he’s always stuck to you like glue whenever you’re out in public, keeping you close with at least one arm wrapped around your waist or arm. 

Second, he’s terrified that you’re eventually going to leave him and find someone better to love. 

You always assure him that your heart belongs to him but he can still get jealous easily. 

He practically hates himself most of the time because of the way he was made to feel as a kid, so it’s easy to see why he’s always worried. 

Whenever a man approaches you and starts flirting, Sam will stay away first, assessing the situation silently while he glares daggers at the guy making moves on his girl. 

Like, just imagine him sitting laid back, slowly smoking a cigarette as he looks at you calmly. (Like the gif)

Give it a minute then Sam is up, cooly striding towards you. 

You always anticipate your boyfriend coming to ‘save’ you from these men flirting with you but you never know what exactly he’ll do. 

Sometimes he’ll just wrap his arm around your waist and pull you into his chest, telling the guy “Fuck off. She’s mine.”

If he’s feeling particularly riled up, he’ll just pull you into a hard, passionate kiss with his hand wrapped around the back of your neck, leaving you breathless after breaking the kiss while he threatens the guy with breaking his legs if he doesn’t leave. 

On the odd occasion, he’s completely cool as he appears, even smiling at the man with a strange look in his eye. 

Then he’ll lean forward and REALLY threaten the guy with a deep whispered growl, which always ends with the guys sweating profusely and essentially running away. 

You’ll both end up laughing about it eventually but if Sam is really pissed off, expect some rough quickies tucked down an alleyway, in the bathroom or in the back of his car. 

He’s so bloody hot when he’s angry that you’re all too happy to burn off some adrenaline with him afterwards. 

Paulie

This man is a loud protective boyfriend. 

He grew up neglected, so he’s always scared that the people he loves most will eventually leave him or deem him unworthy of their love. 

This comes between you quite a bit but you don’t mind. 

Firstly, he’s really hot when he gets all protective over you. 

Secondly, you love reminding him just how much you love him everytime he needs it, holding him close while you sleep or doing some other ✨naughtier✨ things. 

For the same reasons as Sam, he’s worried as hell that something will take you away from him. 

Because he’s always felt so lonely and doesn’t want to go back to that feeling, he won’t even give the guys a chance to start speaking before he’s wrapped around you, telling them to fuck off. 

Paulie gets into too many fights because he overreacts straight away. 

While he’s punching the ever living hell out of someone, you usually end up standing to the side, waiting for your boyfriend to finish while you sip at your drink or pick at your nails. 

Patience and subtly aren’t exactly Paulie’s best qualities. 

So you just know to expect him to appear at your side in less than 30 seconds anytime any guy talks to you. 

He already loves public displays of affection so anytime he has to get a guy to back off, nine times outta ten, he’s probably gonna kiss you hard before threatening the guy. 

If for some reason, the punk has foolishly decided to stay in the near vicinity, he’ll just get glared at by Paulie until he eventually leaves. 

Lots of him putting his hand in very visible, clear areas on your body that show your his. 

So expect a hand on your thigh if your sitting down or his arm banded around the curve of your waist. 

Is also a man that will need to burn off his adrenaline straight away, so he’ll sneak you away probably as soon as he’s finished beating the guy up or threatening them. 

This little shit is smug as all hell when you walk back into the room you were in before, smirking wide when the guy you were talking to notices your flushed, breathless self. 

You’ll never tell him but sometimes you intentionally try and get guys to talk to you, so Paulie can burn off some of his built up anger and steam, while you got a quick, rough quickie out of it. 

Tommy

With Tommy, it’s definitely 50/50 on how he reacts to guys flirting with you. 

He’s more controlled than Paulie and Sam, taking more time to access the situation before jumping into action. 

Make no mistake though, that doesn’t mean he downplays the threanting vibe. 

If anything, it’s even more intense. 

We’ve seen this man in the game when he’s trying to scare someone, it’s enough to make even the bravest man want to run away. 

He’s not worried that you’ll leave him, his biggest fear is more linked to that fact that you’re a target because of him. 

Tommy feels bad already that you're dating a criminal, so anytime any guy tries flirting and you clearly don’t want it, he’s ready to cause some pain. 

Compared to his best friends, he’s definitely more threatening with his body and facial expressions than his words. 

He’ll gladly threaten the punks with detailed words of violence, but one look from him usually has the men running. 

Tommy will slip up silently from wherever he’s been glaring the punk down, slowly wrapping his arm around your waist and pulling you into his side. 

The look on his face is quick to get the guys to back off, but on the odd occasion they taunt him, you know it’s time to move outta the way. 

Next thing you know, Tommy will have punched the punk in the face and will be hitting the ever living hell out of him on the floor. 

You’ll just stand to the side waiting for him to finish and knock the guy out. 

While Sam and Paulie don’t mind claiming you as their own with a hard kiss, Tommy is much more private about that. 

He easily claims you as his own with just an arm around you or with his eyes glaring daggers into the punks. 

That doesn’t mean there won’t be sex after, oh no. 

Instead of a quickie, Tommy will instead wait until you get home and then take you roughly to burn off his adrenaline. 

Honestly, you love it more than you should, the build up of knowing it’s coming after a confrontation makes you weak at the knees. 

Tommy knows you’re getting excited too as he’ll always smile smugly about it and refuse to touch you properly until you get home.

The atmosphere is positively electric tonight at Salieri’s. It’s a far cry from what it was like this morning when the order was finally made to kill Morello. Everyone was stressed, worried of what was to come, but now there’s smiles all round, booze flowing and music in the air. You and Sarah had got to decorating out back behind the bar as soon as you heard word from your brother Paulie that the job had been finished. In a few short hours, the area had been transformed into a lively party space, ready for a grand celebration. There were fairy lights hanging, creating a cocoon of warmth with the fires lit around the space. There were tables and chairs scattered everywhere, filled with drinks and a banquet of food. 

The whole family is gathered, laughing, dancing and getting drunk. You stand off to the side, leaning against the wall of the garage waiting for Ralphie to come out. When this war started, you promised him a dance if you made it this far, so now you’re all too happy to pay up. He emerges, all smiles, and you beam back at him. You grab his hand and practically drag him to the makeshift dance floor you created earlier, happily laughing when Ralph holds your hands and begins dancing in exaggerated steps. The melody of your happiness joins in chorus with the rest of the family’s joyous celebrations. 

You’re too occupied in your happiness to feel the gaze of the man standing against the wall in the corner, smoking amidst the shadows. The steel grey eyes of the man you adore so much look at you with warmth, a slight crack through his usually stoic expression. You’d blush if you knew he was looking at you in such a way, but as you twirl around the dance floor, your cheeks already bloom red. When you laugh again, the noise echoing through the courtyard, you have no idea just how sweet it sounds in the man’s ears. As he stands there watching you, he wishes he were the one twirling you, making you laugh in front of his family, instead of only in secret back at his apartment. He wants to kiss you in public, hold you close when he walks you home after working late at the bar. If he wasn’t so afraid of losing you, he’d take you into his arms right now and kiss you in front of everyone. 

“You’re drooling Sam.” The man in question whips his head towards the sudden noise, glaring when he sees Paulie standing there smirking. 

“Fuck off Paulie.” He says it with anger in his voice, but his best friend can read him like an open book. He leans closer to Sam, wiggling his eyebrows as he laughs drunkenly. 

“Don’t go acting all defensive now pal! I ain’t blind! I know there’s something goin’ on between you and my sister. For fuck sake, you standing here watching her for the past ten minutes is proof enough.” Sam’s head shoots back, eyeing Paulie with annoyance but he can’t argue- he knows he’s been caught red handed. Instead, he looks down, taking a large puff of his cigarette. 

When a large hand falls roughly onto his shoulder, breaking him from his reverie, Sam looks up to see Paulie leaning against him. 

"I don't mind you being with her if that's what you're worried about. I know she's gonna be well looked after with you." 

He sighs. "Paulie, buddy. You're drunk. You won't rem-" 

"Shhhhh!" Paulie's finger smacks against his best friend's lips, shutting him up while nearly poking him in the eye at the same time. Sam smacks his hand away, but can't help letting a small smile appear at his friend's drunk antics. "She's crazy about you Sam, I can see it in the way she looks at you like your her whole fucking world!" 

Paulie shakes Sam as he speaks, pushing more of his weight onto his friend. The sober of the two grunts from the weight, a small breathless laugh bubbling from his throat. Still though, Sam doesn't say anything. 

Paulie sighs. "I know you're worried about losing her. It's fucking wearing me out too knowing everytime I leave for a job, I might never see my sister again. If she makes you happy though pal," he pats Sam's shoulder gently, " it’s better to love her properly now than spend the rest of your life living in the shadows, wonderin’ what if.”

Sam looks up at you, now sharing a drink and some laughs with Tommy and Sarah. His heart clenches when he sees you look between the couple, your face going sad for a second when you watch them hold each other close. 

"I love her Paulie. It fuckin' scares me how much I care for her." He looks at his friend, clearly showing the battle raging in his eyes. Is he selfish enough to keep their relationship private, just so he can keep from worrying? Or should he show just how much he cares for you in front of everyone, so that you can finally be truly happy? Paulie recognises the pain in his friend’s eyes and clasps Sam around the neck, pulling his face towards his. He shakes his best friend slightly as he grates "Go get her pal. Make my sister happy." The two embrace with one of those manly hugs, slapping each other on the back. 

"Thanks Paulie." He pats him on the shoulder. After a smile of encouragement from him, Sam throws his cigarette to the ground and makes his way towards you.

You're smiling at Tommy and Sarah slowly dancing when you suddenly feel a comforting presence at your back. You look behind you to see those pale grey eyes you love so much looking down at you with an unreadable yet warm expression. 

"Will you dance with me Y/N?" he holds his hand out for you to take. You hesitate at first, trying to figure out what’s going on in his mind, then take his hand, letting him lead you to the dance floor. The eyes of everyone seem to follow you, surprised not only that Sam is partaking in the celebration, but that he’s going to dance with you. Even Tommy looks surprised when you both stop beside him. 

Sam gently takes you into his arms, beginning to rock gently. You lay your hands on his shoulder and upper arms, caressing him as discreetly as you can. 

“Sam I-I don’t understand what’s happening. Why are you dancing with me?” You whisper it between you, your voice breathless. The combination of being this close to Sam in general, nevermind in front of your family, is making you feel weak at the knees. You distinctly wonder for a moment where your brother is and what he thinks about this, but then you’re twirling. 

You spin back into Sam’s arms, to find him looking down at you with a small smile. “I wanted to celebrate with my girl.” Your eyes squint in confusion again, but he offers no other response. 

“I want to celebrate with you too. But-but what about keeping us a secret? Everyone is looking at us, they’re gonna suspect something!” 

"I know. I want them too. I want them to know you're my girl.” Then his lips are on yours, effectively cutting off your gasp of shock. You stay stock still for a second, letting the shock wear through, then melt into Sam, turning your head so he can deepen the kiss. His arms wrap around you tighter and you can’t stop the giddy feeling that explodes in your body. You smile against his lips. 

"Fucking finally! Tommy you owe me 100 bucks!" Paulie yells from one of the tables, breaking you and Sam apart. You look towards your brother, seeing him smiling smugly while Tom and Sarah stand frozen, staring at you with their mouths open. The rest of the family look at you in pretty much the same way until Vinny whistles, cheering too. You laugh, tucking your face into Sam's neck. He hugs you close, letting out a throaty laugh himself. 

As you continue to dance with your man, this time your heart full with the love of your family around you, you can’t help smiling up at him like you’ve just become queen of the world. You never thought you’d be able to be with Sam this way, away from the confines of his apartment. In your heart, you know he’s scared of losing you. But as he looks down at you now, happier than he’s ever been in his entire life, you know he’s willing to do anything to keep you in his arms forever.

❄️Christmas Day with the Salieri Family ❄️

Summary: It’s Christmas day and your spending it with the ones you love at the bar - what more could you want?

A/N: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone! We have sadly reached the end of the calendar, but I will of course continue to write. I’m going to be taking a break from posting during January/early Febuary but I will still be writing during this time (most likely some of the requests I’ve recieved and starting my Sam series). I hope you all understand, but most importantly, I hope you’ve all enjoyed the calendar as I’ve had so much fun making it! <3

The snow is falling softly as you walk down the street towards Salieri’s bar. In your hands, you lug a bag of presents, some even tucked under your arms. Finally, it’s Christmas Day and that means it’s time to celebrate with your family. Every year you all gather together at the bar to have dinner together, share presents and forget about all the stress of your lives for a day. 

As Salieri’s only daughter, you especially love this day of the year most of all. Because you’ve never had siblings, you’ve always seen the gangstas you share your life with as your brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts. Sam, Paulie and Tommy especially are like the big brothers you’ve never had, always there to care for you and keep you safe. Being able to thank your family with all the homemade gifts you create is one of your favourite things about the holiday. That and being able to just spend some time with them, laughing and relaxing. 

As you approach the front of the bar, you can already see your father standing at the bar, smoking a cigar as he speaks to Frank and Luigi. Excitedly, you kick open the door, smiling wide when Saleri looks towards you. 

“Y/N, darling! There you are! Here, give me some’a those.” You gratefully release some of the bags into his outstretched hands, releasing a sigh as you finally stretch your arms out. The three men laugh at you as you walk towards them, placing a kiss on each of their cheeks. You greet your father last, who pulls you into a tight hug while he wishes you “Merry Christmas darling.”

“Merry Christmas to you too Papa.” 

“The boys are upstairs getting the place sorted, they probably won’t groan as much if you go and help them.” You laugh. As you start making your way through the bar and up the stairs, the smell of the turkey from the kitchen grows stronger and you take in a deep breath. It makes your taste buds water and you can’t wait to enjoy some of it later. Once you reach the meeting room, you can hear Sam and Paulie arguing as you open the door. 

“Why do you get to sit next to Y/N?!” Paulie shouts, his arms flailing frantically as he gestures to the long dining table. Sam looks at him blankly, his arms crossed over his chest. He raises an eyebrow as he replies “She’s the boss’ daughter. I’m head Capo. It makes sense for me to sit next to her.” Paulie grows more frustrated and opens his mouth wide to argue back, but stops short when he sees you standing in the doorway, smirking at the two of them. Sam squints at him for a second before quickly turning, a wide smile spreading on his face as he spots you. 

“Y/N!” Paulie giddy shouts, running over to pull you into a big hug. You wrap your arms around him and squeeze tightly. Sam comes up behind him, leaning down to kiss you on the cheek and take you into a hug himself once Paulie has let go. 

“Merry Christmas Y/N.” 

“Merry Christmas to the two of you fools too. I see that you’re already arguing.” Sam lets out a ‘pfft’ sound as Paulie launches into a full blown rant, trying to explain why he should sit next to you at dinner. For a while, you let him endlessly talk, taking amusement from both his amusement and Sam’s exasperated expression. But eventually, you start laughing and place your hand on Paulie’s shoulder to quiet him down. 

“Why don’t I just sit in the middle of you two? My papa doesn’t mind me being a few seats down, you should know this already.” The two of them look at each other for a moment, squinting slightly, before they seem to come to a telepathic agreement, nodding their heads. Thankfully, the arrival of little Julia with Tommy and Sarah interrupts the childish argument as they enter the room with warm smiles. 

“Aunty Y/N!” Julia runs, jumping into your arms as you bend down. You give her a tight hug as you raise up again, littering her face with kisses. She giggles as her uncles come up behind her and take turns kissing her too. Tommy and Sarah move to greet you after Julia wriggles out of your arms, running over to the presents waiting to be opened by the tree. 

Once Ralphie, Vinny and the rest of your family have arrived, you all move to your seats at the table, passing around presents from the tree. Sam and Paulie sit quite happily next to you, smiling warmly when they see the gifts you’ve made for them. You have many to open yourself, but you can’t help but just look around at the joy on everyone’s face. It gives you more pleasure than any gift ever could- nothing compares to seeing your family happy and alive. 

Eventually the food is brought in, plates and bowls of steaming food filling the room with a heavenly scent. The boys help bring the large turkey in, placing it in front of Salieri to carve. When the meat is cut, it’s quickly shared out and everyone’s plates quickly become filled. Your father stands up, raising a glass of wine as the rest of your family follow suit. 

“Another year has passed. We’ve lost many but we’ve also gained so much. I’ve never been as proud as I am now in these moments when I stand before you all, my family, and see what we’ve accomplished. Y/N is my only daughter, but I’m sure she agrees too that you will all always be my sons and daughters. So I raise a toast. To a brighter future, a prosperous new year and good health to all of you. You all mean the world to me.”

As you look around at your family, arms raised in cheers as they send loving smiles towards your father and yourself, you can’t help but agree with him- they mean the world to you and nothing will ever change that.

Paulie

We know Paulie is gonna be the most excited for Christmas.

Guaranteed, regardless of whether you have kids or not, he’s gonna be up early on christmas morning ready to open presents. 

Paulie is a social man already, so he loves all the parties and events you have to go to during the season.

Definitely a man who wants to put up the decorations before December.

He will settle for no less than a real christmas tree. 

Even if he has to go out into the countryside to cut one down, he’s not having a fake tree in his house.  

Man loves planning stuff.

Presents, party guests, christmas dinner food, you name it, he plans it. 

He’s definitely… interesting with his present choices for people. 

Most of the time, he’ll probably get everyone something they don’t want or don’t like, but will eventually need to use.

Guaranteed, he will get you some kind of seasonal lingerie every christmas that he will demand you wear for him. 

You’d wear it anyway, but he really enjoys knowing you’re wearing something he picked out and ‘made’ you wear. 

Especially loves the food at Christmas.

If it’s made by you, he’ll practically lick the plate clean. 

He was already a big fan of the season before he met you, getting a little tree in his apartment every year, leaving the presents he got people underneath wrapped to help him feel festive. 

Now that he’s met you, his obsession can grow freely.

Because let’s be real, it is an obsession. 

Sam

It’s not that he doesn’t like Christmas, he just doesn’t enjoy how much social interaction he has to do.

Like he loves seeing his family and being with them, but I know Sam is one of those people who have a social interaction battery that drains super easily. 

He definitely prefers celebrating most of Christmas alone with you, (your kids if you have them) and his family. 

You have to persuade him to help out with the decorating. 

Inside he loves doing it though. 

Like, any excuse to forget about his worries and relax decorating the tree with his family. 

Will definitely be the dad that tries to hide away from his kids on christmas morning and go back to sleep. 

He does really enjoy lazy winter mornings with his family though, curling up under the covers and just listening to seasonal music or reading a story to your kids. 

Surprisingly, he is the best at getting presents for people. 

Definitely a man who prefers giving presents instead of receiving them.

Does not like the attention of people on him when he opens what they give him. This man is confident in a lot of things, but this kinda thing stresses him out to no end. 

If you can sing, it will make this man’s Christmas. 

Really, really likes listening to you sing. It calms him down and just chills him out.

When you first became a couple, he didn’t really celebrate Christmas properly. 

Like, he’d go to family parties and celebrate with them on the 25th.

But his house would have no decorations and he wouldn’t do anything else, like traditions or activities.

When you came barreling into life, obviously you changed all that. 

And he tolerates the season just a little bit more now to see you happy. 

Tommy

Tommy is useless at Christmas, he really doesn’t have a clue what’s going on most of the time.

Without you, he’d have nothing planned or organised. 

Like, he loves the season but he will definitely forget that it exists until you or one of the guys at work remind him. 

Is useless with getting presents.

You learned that the hard way after a very stressful and emotional christmas when he was left in charge. 

Expect things to break or smash when decorating. 

Will definitely blame it on the kids. 

Also prefers celebrating most of the season alone with his family.

Especially because he feels bad about being at work so much during the seasonal period.

So he’s definitely gonna wisk you and your kids away to some secluded cabin to spend time with you all. 

Damn, does this man love the Christmas treats that you bake.

Will steal countless cookies and other treats while no one is looking. 

He is definitely a man who wants to lick the spoon after you’ve finished preparation. 

Tommy is definitely similar to Sam in that he didn’t really celebrate Christmas that much before he met you. 

He was always just too busy and didn’t really have the motivation to do anything on his own. 

But when he met you and eventually you created a family, he fell in love with the season again just because of how happy it made you and your children.

❄️Christmas Day ~ Sam Trapani x Reader❄️

Summary: It’s Christmas day and your children are up bright and early - only problem is Sam refuses to get up....

A/N: This is really, really short but it’s very sweet. I honestly love writing dad Sam, so I hope you all enjoy!

Outside your window, the snow slowly falls as the sun begins to peak over the horizon. It’s Christmas morning and you're wide awake, knowing anytime soon, your children will burst through the door. Beside you, Sam lies deeply asleep, head tucked into the pillow and arm thrown over your pregnant stomach. He looks so peaceful that you already feel sorry for him that his two energetic boys will soon be screaming at him to wake up. 

Your thoughts meet reality when the door is suddenly swung open. Your two young sons run into the room, catapulting themselves onto the bed to start bouncing on it. “Mama, Papa, it’s Christmas!” You laugh at their joyous shouts, but beside you your husband groans, burying his face deeper into his pillow. As your youngest son Marcello jumps into your arms to hug you, your eldest Franco jumps onto Sam, bouncing up and down. “Come on Papa, we wanna see if Santa’s been!”

Your husband playfully growls as he wraps his arms around Franco and pulls him into his chest. Your eldest squirms in his father’s grasp, but Sam’s holds him tightly. “Can’t the presents wait? Sun’s barely even up yet boys.” 

Both Marcello and Franco let out a simultaneous “Papa, come on!” in shock as the latter manages to escape your husband’s arms. Sam laughs huskily, his voice still tinged with sleep, as he cuddles closer to you. As he buries his face in your neck, you laugh as Marcello jumps from your arms and begins jumping on his father too, repeatedly shouting “Get up! Get up!”

As they continue to pester him, your hands come up to blindly find Sam’s jaw and caress it gently as you whisper “This is what we signed up for when we became parents honey. There’s no chance you’re gettin’ back to sleep now.” He grumbles into your neck, letting out a deep breath as he rolls onto his back. The movement causes your sons to fall onto him, giggling as they land. You look towards him to see him smiling down at them, his eyes warm through the tiredness still very present. He leans up, tickling the boys as he grates “Come on then. Santa better have brought me a steamin’ hot coffee.”

You walk down the stairs slowly with Marcello in your arms, Sam following close behind holding Franco’s hand. When they spot the presents surrounding the tree, they both let out excited gasps, giggling excitedly as you enter the living room. You place your youngest son down as his brother runs past, waiting next to the tree. Once Marcello has stumbled his way over, you give them both the nod to start opening their gifts. 

You sit down next to the fireplace as Sam lights it, slipping behind you. His arms wrapped in a blanket he brought from upstairs slip around your waist, resting on your baby bump as his head rests in the crook of your neck. 

Together you both watch your sons open their presents, their joy vibrating through your bodies. When they excitedly show you what they’ve got, you share their happiness, laughing along with them. The whole time, Sam’s hand slowly massages your stomach as he leaves soft kisses against your neck every so often, his husky laugh sending warm chills through your body. 

“Merry Christmas doll.” He whispers, turning your head to place a gentle kiss against your lips. 

“Merry Christmas Sam.”

Sam

Sam is a really nervous dad to be.

He didn’t have the best upbringing. His dad was a deadbeat drunk.

It’s one of the reasons why Sam prefers smoking to drinking. 

He’s scared he won’t be a good enough father or that because he didn’t have a good upbringing, he won’t be able to do it. 

You assure him that he will be an amazing father, but he’s still wary. 

Kissing your bump when he gets home from work - nearly every night.

He loves speaking with you with his head pressed against your stomach, waiting to feel a kick. 

When you give birth to your first child, he perfectly slips into the role of a father. 

He cries when he holds your child for the first time. 

Vows straightaway that he’ll do anything in the world to keep his kids happy and loved. 

If you have a daughter, she’s going to have him wrapped around her finger from the moment she looks at him.

God help her when she gets older and wants to start dating and acting like an adult.

Sam will take ‘protective father’ to a whole new level. 

Every new potential boyfriend your daughter finds is getting interrogated by Sam and uncle Tommy and Paulie. 

Will call ahead to any bar or club your daughter plans to go to, so that they give her the best service. 

This man is going to ball his eyes out at your daughter’s weddings 

If you have sons, he’ll definitely worry more about being a good father. 

Makes it his mission to bond with them as much as possible, so that they know he cares about them, even if he’s at work a lot.

Sam desperately tries to keep your sons out of the business for as long as possible, as he’s so afraid something might happen to them. 

He does teach them how to use guns should they need to protect themselves and you when Sam’s not there. 

Also tries to not smoke around them, going outside when he needs one so he doesn’t influence them. 

He cries at each of your children’s births. 

This guy ADORES being a dad.

After having such a rough upbringing and lonely life until you stepped into his life, coming home to his kids running to meet him at the door and you ready to take him into your arms is the most incredible thing he’s ever going to experience.

Y’know that scene at the end of the first Bioshock game? The good ending where Jack dies with his daughters around him? 

That’s how Sam will eventually die, surrounded by all his children, grandchildren, Tommy and Paulie if they’re still alive with their families, and you. 

He’ll pass away knowing all the pain of his upbringing was worth it as he got to experience what a real family feels like with you and his descendants and friends. 

Your family with Sam will always be his whole world. 

Paulie

Paulie is the most excited about being a dad.

He didn’t have a good upbringing too, but unlike Sam, is more determined than scared.

He wants to be better than his father was and is prepared to do anything to love and care for his children. 

Because he’s so excited, he gets really nervous about so much stuff during your first pregnancy. 

If you feel even a little ill? You’re taking the day off. You’re feet hurting? He has to carry you wherever you need to go. 

Paulie’s favorite thing to do ever is just talk to the bump, even when it’s tiny. He doesn’t want it to ‘feel unloved’... His words, not yours.

He loves the thought that something you’ve created together is growing inside you. 

Is utterly hopeless when you’re giving birth. 

Will definitely run around like a headless chicken when you go into labour. 

Cries with you when you have contractions and when the baby eventually comes out. 

This man SOBS when he first holds his children. 

He can’t believe that he finally has a family, after worrying that it wouldn’t happen for so long. 

Paulie will be the most chaotic dad known to man. 

Will definitely crawl into your children’s crib with them to help get them to calm down and sleep. 

Is too easily persuaded by his kids to do dumb shit. 

You’re raising your children and Paulie to be honest. 

If you have a daughter, she becomes a carbon copy of him as he grows up. 

Like same mannerisms, same goofiness, the laugh, everything. 

Unlike Sam, Paulie isn’t as protective of your daughter when she becomes an adult.

He’ll still beat the shit out of anyone who crosses her. 

But will at least give her more freedom, excitedly asking about her adventures and nights out like he’s a teenage girl instead of a grown man. 

This man is so goddamn proud when she gets married. 

If you do end up having sons, they end up becoming more like you, which Paulie is so grateful for. 

He’s okay with his daughter being a chaotic badass because to be honest, she needs to be in the society you live in. 

However, with his sons, Paulie doesn’t want them to follow the same path, going into dangerous business, spending most of their lives alone. 

You sons can still fight well thanks to their father teaching them, but they only use it when they need to. 

Unsurprisingly, Paulie loves everything about being a dad, even all the stressful and tiring stuff. 

Sleepless nights, diapers, crying babies, whatever, he doesn’t mind it.

He’s so thankful that he has a family that he’s gonna enjoy every minute even when times are tough. 

He really wants to run a family pizzeria one day, which comes true eventually.

I feel like Paulie will die peacefully in his sleep after a day spent with all of his family celebrating something like his birthday. 

Though it’s sad for you and the rest of his family, you all feel happy at least knowing he went to sleep knowing he was loved and had been the most caring and loving dad. 

Goddamn does this man love his family. 

Tommy

Tommy is excited but is also very nervous about being a dad, for completely different reasons to Paulie and Sam.

Instead of worrying about the past, he’s worried about the future and if he’s gonna always be able to be there for his kids. 

He can’t bear the thought that he might get thrown in jail or die at any point and won’t ever get to see his family again. 

Spooning. This man loves it.

Sleeping with you in his arms, one hand against your bump is his favorite thing to do, especially after a long day at work. 

Tommy is also very hopeless when you go into labour, running around without a clue of what to do. 

Willingly lets you crush his hand when the time comes to push the baby out. 

He hates seeing you in so much pain, but when he sees your babies for the first time, it makes it all worth it. 

As soon as your first baby is in his arms, he vows then and there that nothing will ever stop him from seeing his children. 

Tommy, like Sam, will be helpless against his daughter’s charm. 

He’s definitely the kinda dad who’s gonna remind her everyday how strong she is, so she never doubts herself.

Surprisingly, he’s more protective of her when she’s an adult than Sam is, especially because he knows how bad some of the kids are her age. 

Whenever she has a date, Tommy will no doubt just sit glaring at them when her boyfriend comes to the house. 

You’ll make conversation with the poor boy while Tommy just gives him the ‘dad glare’. 

Basically threatens to rip out the kid’s throat if he hurts his daughter, with just his eyes.

Will not approve the marriage until her fiance has been thoroughly interrogated by Tommy and her uncles. 

Manages to keep a lid on his tears at the wedding until the end of the night, crying in your arms because he’s lost his ‘little girl’.

This man is amazing with his sons. 

They grow up to be gentlemen because of him. 

Tommy pushes them to be more academic, trying to keep them from the business. 

Still teaches them how to fight though, knowing that because of his job, his kids and wife will always be a target. 

Even though he doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing most of the time, there’s nothing he loves more than being a dad. 

He will die similarly to Sam, with his whole family around him.

It’s a peaceful death and he slips away smiling, knowing he kept those he loved safe and cared for them well. 

There is nothing more important to him than his family.
