Hi my friend Sami (verified #628 on gazavetters) just got back online to tell me he and his 2 year old son got covid. they've been homeless for a long time now and a flood destroyed their last tent. he's been trying really hard to balance keeping himself and Ayham alive while saving money to escape to Egypt and reunite w his wife Amna, who was taken across the border for medical attention after giving birth.

more than anything rn they need some sense of stability in order to recover. they need shelter and food and basic supplies. diapers are a must to keep Ayham from getting infection in these conditions and they need all the help they can possibly get right now to fight this virus. Sami needs equiv $11,000 both for travel to the border and to get across with his son Ayham, his wife has been in hospital since Ayham was born as she was able to get to Egypt for medical attention, please help them survive and escape to reunite with Amna while the ceasefire holds. he is so close to escape and Israeli leaders have made it very clear they have no interest in peace, if you can donate please act fast while we have this ceasefire

This is my friend Sami. the last time he updated me before today, he had just travelled miles for wifi to tell me his son Ahim has a very severe rash due to having to use cloth instead of diapers in a tent with extremely bad sanitation. I am rarely able to send extra on top of the weekly amount I give him (which he tries as much as possible to reserve for getting across the border) and I need anyone who can help to just do what you can, trust me I know the cost of living is fucked. whatever you can do is worth doing and has the ability to change actual human lives for the better
