@coffee-and-cake, I smell the crash out if TFA Optimus gets modifications without neither Bayverse parents knowledge
Megs is a bitch to draw and no one can convince me to draw him again
For @coffee-and-cake's Raising Optimus AU [Bayverse ver.]
Some design ideas on how TFA OP might try and look try like his carrier more than his sire :P
Bonus, colored art:
Carrier is a scary, scary mech...
Nightmare
TW: Character death, implied SA(not depicted but is mentioned, like, thrice), depressing line of thoughts

Don't think about it.
Don't think about how wholly unrecognisable Crash appeared before them. How his optics, those bright golden searing yellow(wide open and beautiful and looking up to Ratchet trying to act all pitiful for an extra energon treat) had been the only thing that gave away who the feral mech attacking them at that alternate universe. There had been nothing but his optics that resembled the Crash they knew back at the Lost Light. How his whole frame looked obviously modded, altered, different.
How he looked less like a mech and more like a feral sparkeater.
Don't think about how you had to resolve on euthanizing because then it wasn't-- Ratchet is the Autobot CMO and despite being a combat medic he doesn't kill, euthanasia is a mercy and, and that's what Crash needed. That's what he needs, and that's all Ratchet and Drift can do because Crash doesn't recognize him, doesn't recognize them.
The two mechs that knew him as long as he'd been alive. The mechs who might as well raised him...
Because he never met you. Because he was never found by a wandering Drift, never been brought to the clinic to be helped. He was left to wander the streets of Cybertron, alone, dazed; stuck in a stasis like state because his processor crashed, and the reboot sequence wouldn't stop looping. He was vulnerable and alone and hungry and only survived because of a deep embedded program inside his processor.
Crash had been remained lost in Rodion, and the one that found him wasn't them.
Don't think about the subtle bulge you noticed on Crash's abdomen, where his gestation chamber is under, as you finally let that version of your child rest.
Don't think about what it meant.
Don't think of that unborn life. Don't think of who the sire might've been.
Don't think of the mech who took advantage of your child.
Don't think about how Crash, with all his feral snapping, thrashing on the floor, and struggling to buck Drift off him, seemed to connect what you were doing to him, started to cry. How the tears welled up and streamed down his face, how the way he gritted his dentae softened to a tired smile.
Don't think about how Crash looked relieved. How he looked peaceful as his whole frame stilled, pulsing biolights fading out and what colour he still had turned corpse grey, as the kill code did its work. How he fell limp, expression falling flat, vacant, optics going dark (and would never flicker awake to look up at Ratchet again). His spark fading into nothing, dead.
Primus.
Ratchet had to put down a version of his child, one who was unwillingly sparked, carrying, like a rabid cyberhound. His child who is treated worse than a drone for all his life; yet forced to defend his handler(who took advantage of Crash, used him as a weapon, treated him like he's nothing but a pet, raped him) and Ratchet had killed euthanized Crash as a mercy.
That version of their child had been through so much that killing euthanizing him, as painless as Ratchet was able to, was a better fate than leaving him alive in that horrifying version of their universe.
Ratchet killed Crash. Ratchet had to kill Crash.
Oh, Primus.
Crash is alive(he's dead).
Don't think about it.
Crash is sleeping in his room(never to wake up again).
Don't think about it.
His spark still spins, strong, and pulsing inside his chasis(faded to nothing because you killed him).
Don't think about it.
He's alive. He's alive and Ratchet needs to stop thinking of the one he had to kill leave behind in that horrible, horrible world. And if Ratchet could, he wishes he could close his eyes and pretend it wasn't real. That it was nothing but a horrible recharge flux his processor created.
But the dried engeron on his hands, on Drifts claws, the dents and scrapes they received trying to pin down and subdue that version of mech they raised. A version that never received a kind hand without a price. A version who didn't knew better. A version they'd have to extinguish the life of out of mercy.
(Because leaving Crash alive was worse. It would've been so much worse. Letting him live after the realization he was their child. Crash had been too damaged, too changed. Even if they'd been able to fix his processor Crash would've been left alone to survive that horrifying world. They can't bring him back to their universe because that would've been selfish and cruel, and Ratchet doesn't want his baby to suffer anymore.)
His child is fine. He's alive. His spark still spins. Crash remains asleep and unaware of the short time he and Drift were gone and sent to that other dimension(to the life Crash would've had if he had no one. Where he remained lost. Where Ratchet had to kill him).

Context!!
●Ratchet and Drift got transported to a Skybound Universe where they never saved Crash
●met and fought a version of Crash that had been living under Barricade's "care" all his life
●after realizing Crash's state and daily life in the Skybound Universe, Ratchet and Drift, with a heavy spark, decided that killing him would be better bc they couldn't bring him back to the Lost Light

Believe it or not, Deadeye tried to reach out. Had tried to come back. If only to see what's finally become of Cybertron with the war gone. Tired of avoiding and wandering off the universe and away from his promise of returning his twin's kingdom back to him. Tired of pretending he's not running away from confrontation.
Tired of hiding.
It had taken some convincing and promises and a lot of conditions to follow, but Deadeye had Starscream agree to visit Cybertron. They left the Vega and used a smaller ship to not bring attention, used mesh cloaks to hide their identity.
And yet...
Where's the floor beneath my feet?
Here he was, hiding again. Like some nervous highschool teen with a crush, Deadeye saw a too familiar flash of yellow and darted to an alleyway to hide. Spark thumping against his chest with sudden fear.
Deadeye can't believe himself as he tried to laugh off the anxiety that suddenly bubbled up inside him, conflicted in thinking whether or not this was a good idea. He's come a long way and here he is, hiding the from the very mech he'd come for.
What a mess...
Looping every memory
Knocking his helm back softly against the wall, as memories of kind blue optics and gentle servos flashed towards the front of his mind. A soft smile towards him, the kisses that made his processor melt and that feeling of bright warm connection of a merge happen.
Deadeye missed it.
He misses it so much.
Why does grief keeps chasing me?
The look of betrayal, the sharp sting of hate in his spark before that warm connection snapped shut so fast that it had made Deadeye almost stumble. The glow of a blaster pointed towards him and the optics full of distrust that made everything sting harder than any injury he felt.
I thought I gave it everything
He tried to move on. To mourn and let it all out everytime. Tried to reason it was never meant to be. Slammed down on the prodding connection in his spark that wasn't his twin. Had convinced himself that he wasn't... he wasn't...
He lied to himself. Over and over and grieved over that short lived connection he knows he'll never have again.
He tried his best to stop loving him but he just couldn't.
I'm so fucking scared to speak
Deadeye did his best, gathering his courage and to push through his fear and just go up and call out. Taking a deep vent in and breathing it all out. Stood up straight and walked out of the alley, servo clenched and vocalizer primed to call out for the yellow framed scout across; to call out and see if kind blue optics can still be thrown his way.
It doesn't even sound like me--
But.
Vocalizer cycled down into a half aborted static. Mismatched optics staring at the scene across the bustling street. Watching as Bumblebee smiled and laughed and allowed another bot be so, so close to him. Looking at each other with such mirth the way Deadeye used to imagine between them, times where he would lose himself to the past.
They seem so much closer like they used to be. All this years...
Deadeye felt his vents hitched.
Vision narrowing down to the two too happy bots across the busy street.
WHO IS SHE?
WHO IS SHE?
WHO IS SHE?
WHO IS SHE?
"Carrier?"
"...it's nothing, sweetspark. Let's go look for Screamer, yeah?"
"Okay!"
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Bumblebee paused, expression falling as he raised a servo over his chassis. An odd pinch deep his spark, trembling for a moment before fading like there was nothing. It was brief, almost like a whisper that Bumblebee would've brushed off if it was any other day but...
"Sir? Is something wrong?" Strongarm worried. He'd just been recounting to her his time on Earth when she'd curiously asked about it. Bumblebee had felt melancholic and reminisce to her the better parts of it, internally thumbing his spark and the closed connection there.
Bumblebee shuttered his optics, cycling them instinctively towards the busy street, before shaking his helm.
"Sorry, Strongarm, guess I'm just getting tired. It's been a long day..."

Sweet Honeybee
Attempt at fluff X33
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
Love, love at first sight
It was a shock, staring at the little bundle he had in his hands. Gurgling up at him while still half covered with his energon, shuttering their little mismatched optics, optics resembling his, before letting out a curious coo.
Deadeye felt something inside him melt, a connection snapping in place before the injury in his chest finally registered and he loss consciousness. Barely registering Starscream snatch the small thing from him as things faded to black.
Hospital lights,
The pain he was in felt somehow worst than all the injuries he ever had in his life, Deadeye remembered, as he fell in and out of consciousness in the medbay. Apparently, as Knockout informed him after he finally became concious and lucid enough, he'd been not only been due for quite some time now, nothing in Deadeye's coding indicates that he was ever carrying; which is why Knockout also hadn't known beforehand with all the medical check-ups and such.
Meaning the baby he'd been carrying for the past deca-cycles literally was never registered in his coding up until Honeybee took it upon herself to do a self-eviction because his frame was just as clueless.
That was the day you changed my life
The solemn longing that seemed to weigh heavy on Deadeye lifted as he stumbled into the baby room Starscream had made while Deadeye was stuck for a week in the med bay recovering. Entering it and limping carefully towards the makeshift craddle, optics cycling at the sound of coos and soft babbles he can hear from it.
Five little fingers wrapped around mine
Reaching the craddle, Deadeye braced himself against it; not quite trusting himself to stay upright and looked. His sparkling, sweet little Honeybee, looked back at him. Quieting down from her babbling as she registered a mech standing over her craddle. Carefully, Deadeye reached down hesitating for a brief moment then--
Deadeye gasped, voice turning into a soft coo as Honeybee smiled back at him, holding on to to his digit in her tiny servos. Mismatched optics squinting back at him with a gurgle, and Deadeye can feel his spark melt at the sight.
That's when I knew that
Feeling tears well up before he even knew it, Deadeye leaned over and brought Honeybee up to his arms; cradling her carefully as he listened to her begin to babble happily. He offered back his digit to her and gave a wobbly smile as she wrapped her tiny fingers around it once more, holding it tight. And, oh...
I would love you til the day,
Deadeye can feel his optics leak as he continues to stare at the sparkling, his sparkling, babble, and wave her arms about it his hold. Her small yellow frame, looking so small and fragile; it was hard to imagine that she'd forcefully evicted herself from his chest.
Deadeye felt his injury throb at the memory, letting out a wet laugh and continuing to smile wobbly back as Honeybee cooed at him curiously.
'til the day that I die
He hadn't even known he was carrying until he woke up from the medbay and Knockout informed him that he was, and his little chest burster had been so impatient that she popped out all by herself instead of letting him know she wanted out. Deadeye can already tell she'd be trouble, putting him in the medbay for days that ended up having Starscream caring for her as he recovered.
Take care of you 'til you walk down that aisle
He won't have it any other way. Honeybee was his buddle of surprise. Deadeye may not know he'd been carrying her for so long, but.. he loves her so much. Seeing her bright yellow frame, tiny lil wings, and her beautiful mismatched optics; he can feel his spark ache, tugging at the faded connection there instinctively.
They'll see the beautiful woman you become,
Oh, looking at her he can already imagine what she'll look like growing up. Honeybee would grow into her frame, with her yellow paint he's sure that she'll be the crew's shining star. Deadeye would make sure she'll be loved and be seen as nothing less than she deserves.
But I'll see
Deadeye pressed a soft kiss on the tiny helm, "...my little girl~"
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
and then I start throwing bricks--
@lilruruby, huehuehue~
