I just wanna say that I cosign everything you're saying about female representation and SPN. I love the show but I don't turn a blind eye to how they portray women. I also love Jared, and he's not being malicious, but he's influenced by the misogynistic story the writers choose to play out. You can be a huge fan of the show and still be uncomfortable with some aspects.

Oh yeah. There are a lot of fucked up things about this show, but that's why I love fanfiction. Because I can see what's canon, and then go read about how it could've been better or improved upon.

I've given up for the day because it's half past 11 and I could go on but it won't make sense to my brain anymore. What's your undergrad thesis about? (I don't even know what an undergrad thesis would correspond to in our system.)
