I’m Czech. You should see my Twitter, I have commented on this extensively :D The Czech is not good. Obviously the actors don’t have the right pronunciation, intonation etc, but sometimes even the sentences don’t sound naturally at all. I can literally recall one occurence when they used a native speaker (season one, dubbed telenovela on TV, woman’s voice). When Petra shows Rafael her mothers hospital records, the words are just wrong as well. So TLDR, it’s not passable. I have so many other issues with the Czech there, like we flex the names when we address someone, as in you wouldn’t call me Romana! in Czech as you do in English, but Romano! Same with Petra/Petro and Anežka/Anežko. Women’s last name wouldn’t be Andel, like Petra’s, but Andelova.
There you go, JtV anon from yesterday. So basically the Czech on the show is terrible :)
I should’ve guessed that there was a vocative case in Czech too, especially when the female name ends on an ‘a’.
