          “gooood evening.” quark is quick to slide over, interrupting morn mid-sentence, when he sees nadesh take a seat at the bar. the disappointed look from the lurian goes unacknowledged. “what can i get for you this fine day?” he’s being overly polite. that means he’s up to something — no, it means he wants something. nothing like a charming smile and irresistible personality to win over the heart of a potential business associate. “we’re running a special deal tonight. half-off — for aft’r only.” he drops a wink, for good measure. “so what’ll it be?”

     THERE’S A generous slathering of smug glee underneath that veneer of feigned professionalism, both chin and serving tray held high.  A glass of Saurian brandy nearly slides off the edge onto a direct collision course with Nadesh’s head, but they snatch it just before it topples and slam it back onto the surface.  ❝ Not unemployed anymore, ❞ they sniff disdainfully, practically radiating dignity even in their skimpy, stupid outfit.  Quark had asked them to work the tables tonight, but after being vastly less popular than the other two dabo girls because, in his words, ‘ you’re, unfortunately, kind of ugly, ’ they were relegated back to being a waiter.  ❝ So, ❞ they continue, a disinterested drawl,  ❝ what do you want to order. ❞
