Vacation-Staycation Eternal Blu-ray Catch-up! Continuing with the Spidermen-- the Spider-Mans, I then went onto the 4K releases of the Sam Raimi trilogy. 🎞️ Chapter 7: Spider-Man Trilogy (Sam Raimi's) 🎥 I without any doubt prefer the Sam Raimi Spider-Man films over the ones with Andrew Garfield starring (though the first Andrew Garfield one is probably a better film than Spider-Man 3), and I may even still like the first 2 of these better overall than a couple of the Tom Holland ones, though I do love them. In any case, they all look better in 4K, which was nice to see (though certain CGI moments in 3 are still pretty rough), and, well anyways, I for one was happy to see Toby as Spidey again in more recent times. Also, JK Simmons is a treasure, and it pleases me to no end that he appeared as J. Jonah Jameson again in the Room Holland films. Speaking of treasures, Bruce Campbell. Good afternoon webheads. Today is a very special day. How is today any different you may ask? Simple; today marks the 20th anniversary of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man. This film practically reinvented, nay revolutionized, the superhero genre as we know it. I was only 7 when this movie came out and remembered parts and pieces of it until I saw it as a whole some years later. This and its sequel made me fall in love with Doc Ock and Green Goblin. Not only that, but presented me with whom Peter Parker was as a person. Say what you will, but Tobey Maguire is Peter Parker incarnate. Sam Raimi’s filmmaking genius brought this comic book hero onto the silver screen without pulling punches and I highly commend him for doing so. To celebrate this historic milestone, I’ve uploaded this pic I took of a shirt 👕 I bought at @hottopic some months back. I saw it and just had to have it. This shirt incorporates all 3 generational Spider-Man logos in one place. To me, this should be made into a flag or something. I think it’s so cool; plus, No Way Home was an outstanding movie. With that said, happy anniversary to the very first cinematic Spider-Man to ever grace the silver screen.
