Sanremo Opera Espresso Machine

While I have long considered the La Marzocco Strada EP and Modbar to be the most advanced programmable espresso machines on the market. However, the Sanremo Opera pushes things to a new level past simple temperature and pressure profile. There is is full control over the 13 variables of the shot at three different stages in the pull, with 6 saved profiles for each grouphead. In addition, the Opera also work with the Acaia Lunar scale with the integration no only showing up on the app, but also on the grouphead.

At the moment the Sanremo Opera is by far the most advanced espresso machine in the world, in terms of programmable control over the shot.

Would love to see this machine in action, but the only place using the Opera that I know if is the Royal Coffee Lab in New York, which is a long drive from Milwaukee. Might have to find a specialty coffee trade show to attend that Sanremo is exhibiting at.  Hope to see more of these machines in the American market, as they are a 3rd-Wave of coffee dream come true. No better way to draw out the nuanced flavor of the bean and not only pull a God Shot, but repeating it time and time again.
