Started this as a stress relief when finals were really getting to me

It stayed as a WIP until now, figured I’d go back and finish it up

Really digging the new tablet I bought, the lines are just so smooth and it flows a lot better than my old one <3

Sorry I took so long, @sams-scribbles! 

we challenged each other to do a redraw of each other’s art - i was busy this past week but now I’ve got a chance to sit and doodle ;u; i tried to go fast and loose because i tend to get bogged down in inhibition lately. I’ve only got a short time left with this free trial so I’m trying to take advantage, although i don’t know the tools and shortcuts too well yet @@ .

Been trying to get over my art block and enjoy my work again and that’s actually been pretty tough ;w;

SO decided to draw a little personal moto and try to experiment with watercolor brushes on Firealpaca

-How much time have you been here on Tumblr?:  Since September 2011, after my friend was like GET A TUMBLR. and then i accidentally deleted it on the morning of december 24th 2017 - and then made it again. it was fun.

-Why did you start drawing on tumblr?:As a challenge to myself - to get better at drawing and to share the stuff I had drawn and to one day feel less like an art teacher fraud.

-What do you draw the most? : Étienne. 

-Do you like drawing NSFW? : Not really - because it doesn’t look right, because I can’t draw bodies that look like bodies/I get frustrated/I get shy etc.

-In your opinion, what do you think you are good drawing?: ....... details? Lamao - or like I put a lot of details 

-Problems you have while drawing? : everything. hair styles, eyes, hands, bodies, legs, arms, noses, lips. clothes, bodies that dont look flat/have movement to them, different poses, something else than face view, lighting, ...

-Something you want to be good at? : see above question.

-Do people support what you do? : sure? i mean yes - i mean the 5.7 people who have seen my art have been very nice in their tags and comments and honestly even if it’s just to encourage me and to not make me quit, it really does help.

-What is your favorite thing of being on tumblr? : reading the nice tags the 3.9 people leave on my stuff, yall are the real MVPs - also like finding people who post things that i like

-You would like your followers to know that…: THANK YOU FOR ENCOURAGING ME, ALSO YOU, SHY ANONS, Y’ALL ROCK. for realsies. like i keep joking there are 2.4 people who read my garbage or like my art BUT THEN I FIND OUT THERES MORE OF YOU AND IM LIKE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so by all means, keep doing that - it helps motivate me.

Day 5:

Hey guys ! So I know that I've been a bit dead on my art blog lately and that's mostly because my phone and laptop have been out of commission But I atleast got my phone working again Today I'm going to start posting a bunch of stuff that I've had back logged but haven't had a chance to post and then to celebrate my phone being back I'm going to post at least every day for the month of April! If I can keep up the momentum for May I'll do it as well but May is finals time for me so we'll see Anyways these are some drawings I did last week The first one was an idea for an outfit, maybe a white shirt that used mint thread for the detailing? I love the idea of using colored thread on clothes and I feel it doesn't get utilized as much Next I drew a girl in pen and I was trying to work on my proportions/the shapes in my people. When I was done I wanted to experiment with my colored pencils. I've never really used my colored pencils on top of an inked drawing, either the picture is entirely in colored pencil or I do the color first and then go over the colors with pen (which usually doesn't lead to fluid lines since colored pencils have wax in them) I love the way it came out though More experimenting with pen and colored pencil this time I also experimented with using lighter colors on top of darker to blend and add depth which I've read about in tutorials and I really think it added a lot to this drawing
