I realized when I read Clock Work I imagine them with American accents. But, then I realized you probably imagine them with British accents. But, now I'm wondering, do people from Mercia have a different accent than people from Arcadia? Can characters realize that Cog is originally from Mercia just by the way he talks?
Well here's what the main guys sound like (gonna do one for the gals and other minor characters but I wanna wait until they're all introduced properly).
People CAN tell that Cog is from Mercia because of his voice, but it's just one of those suspension of disbelief things we gotta deal with. People from Arcadia sound a lot more refined, and everyone in Mercia sounds relaxi-taxi chill, just speech-pattern wise.
