this is going to sound so sappy but clockwork was a webcomic i discovered back in 2013-2014? of dA and i even remember playing the flash games and being so wowed and amazed that you *could* do something like this woth your ocs in the first place. ive been a regular update reader ever since the webcomic was released and found myself rereading it to be so appreciative of the improvement of your craft. that being said, i hipe your irl situation improves ans that you are able to find the leace and comfort. it doesnt matter if cog's story gets finished (as long as you get better) but regardless of if it does or doesnt, im always here

MAN ... I ALSO REMEMBER THE FLASH GAMES ...

i'm still teaching myself Gamemaker code on my off time, and I'd like to be able to make little walk-around simulators between chapters. where you can control cog (or another character if cog is busy) and just chat to everyone and ask them questions/get updated on how they feel. i think it would be super neat.

i also hope my irl situation improves, i'm shotgunning doctor appointments and being injected 3 times a week so that's gotta count for something ✌️

cog's story will get finished one way or another, even if it doesn't end up being in comic form. because he is a good boy and he deserves it.

i just wanted to say that i have followed you since the good old days (over a decade ago!!) when you were just starting to post clockwork—i fell off following a lot of webcomics in recent years but never stopped following you. i was always so happy to see you posting anything comic related, and when i saw the most recent page on tumblr i knew i had to catch up. reread the whole comic and the story is just as insteresting to me now as it was all those years ago. thank you for sharing your work :)

and thank you for reading my work! if clockwork brings a modicum of joy to anyone then i'm achieving my purpose as an artist

its so funny being an adult and not caring about/interacting with fandoms anymore, because i can just shotgun TADC in one sitting and go "that was neat, cool animation and VA work" and that's where my journey with it ends.

SERVICE DOG PSA

So today I tripped. Fell flat on my face, it was awful but ultimately harmless. My service dog, however, is trained to go get an adult if I have a seizure, and he assumed this was a seizure (were training him to do more to care for me, but we didn’t learn I had epilepsy until a year after we got him)

I went after him after I had dusten off my jeans and my ego, and I found him trying to get the attention of a very annoyed woman. She was swatting him away and telling him to go away. So I feel like I need to make this heads up

If a service dog without a person approaches you, it means the person is down and in need of help

Don’t get scared, don’t get annoyed, follow the dog! If it had been an emergency situation, I could have vomited and choked, I could have hit my head, I could have had so many things happen to me. We’re going to update his training so if the first person doesn’t cooperate, he moves on, but seriously guys. If what’s-his-face could understand that lassie wanted him to go to the well, you can figure out that a dog in a vest proclaiming it a service dog wants you to follow him

I honestly didn’t know that I was supposed to follow a service dog in a vest if it approached me by itself.

I think part of getting better is complete ego death. Like you’re not above setting a timer for 5 minutes and focusing on a task. You’re not above doing a very simple 3 minute workout to start. You’re not above reading for 10 minutes a day when you first get out of your reading slump, even if you used to read for hours. You’re not above starting slow and then building up to where you want to be/where you once were. What you are above is total inertia. Doing something really is better than doing nothing. Radically accept where you are, radically accept your limits, and go from there. Don’t let your ego get in the way.
