“He moved to the United States with his girlfriend, but between you and me, she’s going to be his fiancée soon.”
Zorro had been filling his mother in on his life and that of his siblings. If she doesn’t get to see it herself, she might as well know that they are well off in the future.
“He is his father’s son.” Lady Azure laughs. “Once he gives his heart away, he gives it his all.”
“I’m glad he found her. They compliment each other well!” He chuckled. “I hope to find that one day.”
“And you will! I have no doubt about that.” Azure patted her son’s shoulder. “Your soulmate will come when you least expect it.” She leans in and says in a low voice. “They could already be in your life~”
“I hope so.” Zorro leaned against the ledge of the building, resting his chin in his palm.
Azure mimicked his pose. “So, what about S——? You’ve been awfully quiet about your twin.”
Zorro shifted uncomfortably. He hadn’t heard that name in years and honestly, hearing it now made him feel weird. It wasn’t her fault, she doesn’t know what went on with Sam after she passed away.
“I think... I think it would be better to show you.”
Azure was confused and a bit concerned. Had something happen to her child? Sure Itzamn wouldn’t have let anything bad happen to any of their babies.
After a short trip through Paris, the pair landed on a rooftop overlooking a cafe. Sitting on the tables outside was a familiar looking boy, happily sipping his cup of coffee. Sitting across from him, a girl chatted away. It was cute scene; a lovely little date.
Azure hadn’t quite yet caught on. Why were they here? That boy bore a striking resemblance to Sylvester but that couldn’t be him. Sylvester was right beside her. So then who was that boy? What does this have to do with S——?
“He goes by Sam now. Or well, Samuel but really only our Dad calls him that. His girlfriend, that’s the girl he’s with, calls him Sammie.” Zorro explained. Azure’s gaze was fixed on the scene below, processing everything her son was telling her.
“Samuel...” she whispered, a small smile making its way onto her face. Now she understands. “He looks so happy...” She wipes the tears that began to form in her eyes. “Seeing my boys living their best life makes me elated. I couldn’t have asked for more...”
