Sam Carter & Vala Mal Doran in Stargate SG-1

I always got a bit of a "vibe" that there could be something between Vala and Sam, what do you think?

I agree, there definitely is a vibe. Again, I think this can be seen as both romantic and platonic, and I love to see it both <3

I have to admit that it's been a while since I watched season 10 where I believe there's the most Sam/Vala so i might be forgetting the most outstanding moments between them right now.

First off, I think the writers didn't know how to handle Vala & her sexuality which is why it can come across as silly/toxic, but true fans know she's a pansexual icon.

I think Sam and Vala gain a lot from each other's presence in both the team and outside. Actually, the whole team benefits from Vala's presence.

I think what Vala could show Sam is that she can be everything she wants to be. She can be a woman in the military and still explore her femininity, she can be a woman and still have sexual appetite, she can be vulnerable, that doesn't mean she's not strong.

On the flipside I think Sam would be a good anchor for Vala, she can show her that it's okay to stay at one place for a longer time, it's okay to forge connections, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will weaken you. She shows her the benefit of close relationships. She grounds her.

They are both so different but they can bring out the best in each other, they can bring out facets of each other that they kept hidden for one reason or another, and i think that's very sexy of them.
