Another date - and as the girls decide to share their very first woohoo [on a rather uncomfortable-looking bed <<]... Russ Bear decides to spoil the evening. He takes the tv and bookcase that the girls had only just saved up for and then manages to escape before the police can catch him. =(

Amazingly, though, it was still a dream date. I guess they enjoy each other’s company too much to be put off by a little burglary ;)

And no hard feelings to the police either - Anaya and Freddie French, town cop, are best friends and are able to enjoy the snow despite the theft.

That ends the first season for these two. =)

Just as the girls are thinking about throwing a housewarming party, some of their new neighbours - Nate, Nora and Jonah - show up to welcome them. Their party consists of a lot of kicky-ball and Rebecca being a silly pleasure sim, and they also all share a meal (well, those that have hunger bars share a meal while Nate watches creepily).

Anaya and Rebecca Roulette

I wasn’t planning on introducing another family to the town anytime soon, but then the sims 2 community just had to go and be its awesome game-changing self and release all the custom sliders and I wanted to have a play. And the town does need a few more adult females... so... yeah. Justified!

Anaya (top pic) is a creative fortune sim with a desire to stir up the arts in Sanctuary and one day become an Icon (using my extended LTW system). stats: neat 5, outgoing 4, active 7, playful 3, nice 6 interests: Culture, Travel, Crime traits: Ambitious, Workaholic, Artistic, Performer, Animal Lover

Rebecca is a pleasure sim who’d like to see the world and change it for the better (while having fun of course). Her LTW is to have 50 dream dates. stats: neat 2, outgoing 5, active 9, playful 5, nice 4 interests: Travel, Politics, Fashion traits: Athletic, Wanderlust, Hot-headed, Flirty, Political

Lorelei still exists.

Sandy quit her job as elementary teacher, leaving the town’s education in Zeke’s capable hands, in order to become a childminder/nanny/nursery owner or something.

I had a play around, teleporting Alice Zuko (pictured) and Shaun Delaney in, but found that the game really didn’t like it. Most of the interaction options didn’t appear, so Sandy couldn’t feed, change or play with the kids. So the idea of a home business nursery just can’t work. Think I’m going to have to go the route of custom career instead. Regardless, Sandy taking this role unlocks the nanny service. It’s not an immersive option, but with my extended age stage mod my working parents really need it.

The girls moved in as roommates, but they do have chemistry and given Rebecca’s lifetime want of 50 dream dates, it wasn’t long before she decided to ask Anaya out. ‘Out’ being a figurative notion in this case as the town doesn’t have any places for dates.

It may just be a quiet date at home, but it’s still the first dream date for Rebecca, and the girls decide that they will ‘go out’ again.

the kids enjoy some time off school. Reece prefers to spend his time inside, and often by himself, whereas the twins enjoy some friendly rivalry in an outdoor chess match.

It’s Winter’s Eve in Sanctuary!

The living room gets decorated (ok rather minimally <<) and Sandy gets to making the all-important Santa cookies.

[Fun Fact: in the UK, we leave Father Christmas a mince (as in spiced fruit mix, not minced meat) pie and a small glass of sherry. Yup, booze for Santa.]

Although this is the second Winter in this bacc, the first one was mainly filled with fear of starvation as all the crops died and ponds iced over. This year, however, Flamingo Foods feeds the town, so it seems right to celebrate. =)

Rebecca gets promoted to Internet film critic, and things are going well there. This is the last stage of the job she can do without a Press Office community lot, so she’ll have to wait here and save up a bit.
