Lorelei still exists.

Sandy quit her job as elementary teacher, leaving the town’s education in Zeke’s capable hands, in order to become a childminder/nanny/nursery owner or something.

I had a play around, teleporting Alice Zuko (pictured) and Shaun Delaney in, but found that the game really didn’t like it. Most of the interaction options didn’t appear, so Sandy couldn’t feed, change or play with the kids. So the idea of a home business nursery just can’t work. Think I’m going to have to go the route of custom career instead. Regardless, Sandy taking this role unlocks the nanny service. It’s not an immersive option, but with my extended age stage mod my working parents really need it.

It’s Winter’s Eve in Sanctuary!

The living room gets decorated (ok rather minimally <<) and Sandy gets to making the all-important Santa cookies.

[Fun Fact: in the UK, we leave Father Christmas a mince (as in spiced fruit mix, not minced meat) pie and a small glass of sherry. Yup, booze for Santa.]

Although this is the second Winter in this bacc, the first one was mainly filled with fear of starvation as all the crops died and ponds iced over. This year, however, Flamingo Foods feeds the town, so it seems right to celebrate. =)

Well... at least it wasn’t a tree fire. I guess fires for Winters Day really are a sims tradition. I love that I placed the jingle bells over the fire alarm and it looks like they are ringing. haha.

Thankfully this fire was put out by Rizz, the town’s firefighter, but mysteriously we have no picture of that. (<<)

The kids are hurried off to bed just in time as Santa arrives! He goes on to do santa-ry things like belly laughs in front of the tree, munching on cookies out in the snow, several hours of belly laughs in the upstairs bathroom...

it’s been a long time since I’ve had Santa show up in my game. I’d forgotten how much he likes to hang out in the bathroom.

Ok so, where were we... right, it’s Winter! With the Zukos!

Sandy is pregnant and on maternity leave, so she spends the day resting while all of the boys head to work and school.

Danny makes a decision at work that doesn’t turn out as well as he’d hoped which sets back the City Connection fund, but at least he doesn’t lose his job!

That’s the end of Autumn with the Zuko Family =)

Danny’s started saving for a City connection now. He’s already befriended Police Officer Freddie, thus unlocking the next step of the Politics career, Judge. And the twins aging up to teen have unlocked an additional Education career slot.
