I got to practically the exact same point with a new Paladin character that I did with my Glitter Ranger, but then I ended up dying again
I feel like I had gained a significant amount of systems mastery in between the ranger death and paladin death, but I still hit a similar wall.
Haven’t even beat Act 1 yet...
Everyone’s story has to start somewhere...
I LIVE I DIE I LIVE AGAIN
Sanctuary RPG - Dylan Staxus
I like playing old style games and Sanctuary RPG, while modern, captured the feel of them wholeheartedly. It was a fun game, easy to learn, but fairly difficult in its own right. The key is to have full hitpoints as much as you can, as some enemies can one-shot you outright. I used the Barrier ability and combined with high hitpoints made the endgame fairly easy. Focused on Freezing and Bleeding to stack damage over time, so when I powered Barrier or healed I still damaged the enemy.
My character was Dylan Staxus, a Kraste Wizard. I picture him as young-ish with dark hair and an innocent outlook on the world. He’s not the typical hero type, rather naive and a bit immature. He starts the game inexperienced but soon gets strong enough to save the world from the Matron and her army.
