Trying out a Chibi style and some new ways of shading. This is also a new type of c0mmission you can get over at my Ko-fi!
"I have fought a lot of Monsters these past ten years, and some of them were definitely a pain... Not necessarily because of their inherent difficulty or strength, but sometimes just by their way of dealing with my personal approach. Ordering them by 'annoyance' is no easy task however; but here's my answer until I change my mind:
Mizutsune used to be a tough challenge to me. Its speed and agility forced me to re-think my hunting strategy a few times, but it was also good practice, and I think I've become a better Hunter thanks to that.
An elder dragon I've only met a few times, Kushala Daora. Its wind shield always was annoying. Sadly it’s a rare beast and I didn't get many opportunities to fight it and figure out a good way around its ability... Maybe one day.
Glavenus, another sword-wielder, of course. The bastard is more agile than it looks, but even though its evading side-steps can be a pain, I'll admit it's an educative challenge that I don't mind taking when given the opportunity.
I've fought Sand Barioth only once or twice, when I was younger; but boy was it an ordeal. I'm still fascinated by its ability to swirl around its own sand tornados before hurtling at Hunters, even though I got quite badly hurt the first time it tricked me like that.
Last but not least: can you guess? Yes, this big, gross, extendable wyvern, Khezu. I don't really hate it – but... Getting knocked out by the thunder aura of an indecent-looking monster like that one has always hurt my ego a little bit. Good thing I've learnt to dodge it since then, but still."
