He orders fish here regularly, both for dinner and work. Today was for the latter, so he requests the shopkeeper to slice them up in person to his specifications. Unfortunately, there’s an accident when the non-human cuts himself in the middle of scraping off some scales. His blood drips into the bucket of freshwater fish while Yagen digs out a band-aid and frowns at the contaminated water.
Look, the fish were drinking the blood already and--
‘--they died.’ Almost seconds after ingesting the fluid, three fish were floating belly up in the pail.
‘What’s going on? Didn’t you say these were freshly caught?’
