Last night was legendary. We were fortunate to be first row on the floor so close to the stage and sitting in front of James’ and Robert’s gear. The stage revolved slowly, so everyone saw the band and orchestra from all angles during the show.
Metallica played many of the songs I was hoping for them to play. You can’t beat perfection. They go above and beyond. It shows that they love their fans. It was everything we could’ve hoped for and more!
I have to admit that I cried when they played (Anesthesia)—Pulling Teeth. To me, it sounded just like Cliff Burton. Chillz. So many chillz! The song was performed by the Symphony’s principal bass player, Scott Pingel, who played an electric upright bass. During the solo, you could sense the love coming from Lars as he joined in on the drums.
After the 20 minute intermission, James walked around to his guitars and as he went by us he touched our hands! Wow!!! Is that cool or what?!
James gave a solo performance and sang “The Unforgiven III” with the symphony. Their arrangement was stunning!
Loved hearing Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony play The Call of Ktulu, For Whom The Bell Tolls, The Day That Never Comes, The Outlaw Torn, Moth Into Flame, No Leaf Clover, Halo On Fire, Wherever I May Roam, One and all the rest of the setlist last night!!
Loved seeing our friends, too!!! Last night was magical! So many fond memories! And tomorrow night, believe it or not, we’re going to the second concert!!! Yeah!!! 🤘🏻🎼🤘🏻
