Are you aware of the tumblrverse?

There's a lot of odd things going on beyond the tumblrveil, for example.

*gestures towards Sang-mi the Tenrec*

In this particular plane, Surge has a sister.

"There aren't any damned 'other worlds'. Or other mes. I mean... Hell, one is already too many." Surge rumbled sourly.

"There are, other worlds than. These. Many. I have not heard of... Tumbly-verse." The shadow burbled thoughtfully.

"You're fulluv it. Oh! It's that, uh..." Surge squinted, trying to remember exactly where she'd seen the image of the other tenrec before. Because she had before. "Lady. That fell out of a hole in the sky once. I think? And kept calling me 'mangy' or something, which is rude. That's not my sister. I don't have a damn sister."

"Looks like. You. Somewhat." Surge's own silhouette side-eyeing her was not a pleasant experience and was also not something you could exactly get used to.

"Not even a little," Surge lied and waved a dismissive hand.

"Perhaps, right. This one is very, tall. You are very, small." The Lifeweaver ignored the middle finger waving angrily in his direction. "I like, this. Sang-mi."

"You say you like everything," the tenrec rolled her eyes. "And then you say-"

"I wish to. Devour her. Add her voice to, the reverie."

"Yeah. That. Ugh, weirdo." It was probably getting more and more perilous for people to inexplicably belly flop through interdimensional wormholes nowadays with this guy latched onto her...

Through a Tumblr wormhole, Surge and Sang-mi wander into a small park. There, they see ATN!Surge and Trip, sitting on a bench. The tenrec had the lizard on her lap and her arms around her, playing with her tummy.

“Thought you could sneak away with all the donuts, didja, shithead?” ATN!Surge snarked playfully.

“Hey! I did sneak away with them!” Trip retorted proudly, “And they were really good donuts!”

“Not good enough to share with your girlfriends, obviously!!”

“Duh. I wanted them all for myself.”

As the pair laughs, how do Jade!Surge and Sang-mi join in on the conversation?

"Trip!" Sang-mi cheered as she dashed towards the couple at surprising speeds and snatched the lizard from ATN! Surge's lap in one fell swoop. "I've missed you so much!"

She hugged the former guardian tight with a blissful smile on her face, utterly unaware on the panic and confusion that was surging through her unintended victim.

"Hey! Let her go!" ATN! Surge growled, who unlike the tall tenrec in front of her was well aware of her girlfriend's social anxieties.

"But it's Trip! She-" Sang-mi tried before dropping Trip the moment she saw the lizard's terrified face.

"That's not your...friend." Jade Surge stated the obvious as she walked up the others, her hands in her pockets as she balanced on the balls of her feet. "There being another me didn't clue you in?"

"I... I'm so sorry!" Sang-mi said as she bowed. "I thought you were someone else, I'm so, so sorry!"

"Oh, wait, I know you! You're the moron who called the Sol emeralds gimmicks!" ATN!Surge hissed as she pointed at the other Surge.

"Yep, that's me." Jade Surge grinned. "Have fun outliving Kit and be sad for all eternity."

"Why, you little shit!"

A single emerald manifested above the furious tenrec before an intense heat could be felt as she turned blue with a loud growl. Jade Surge for her part just laughed as electricity bounded across her body.

"HAHA FUCK YES! LET'S DO THIS!" She cheered with a manic grin.

Sang-mi and Trip just looked at the chaos next to them as the twin Surges bounded across the town at speeds neither could ever hope to follow, much less match.

"S-should we stop them?" Sang-mi asked but Trip just shook her head.

"B-better to just let t-them get it out of their system..." she said before looking up at the tall woman next to her. "Y-you said you know your version of me?"

"Oh yes! Northstar Island isn't far from Holangi!" Sang-mi explained. "We met while I was there on vacation last year."

"W-wait! Vacation? On Northstar Island?" Trip’s eyes went wide at the idea.

"Yes? Your tribe's elder started a tourist initiative for the nearby island maybe...four years ago?" Sang-mi hummed before her smile fell at the crestfallen face of the sungazer.

"T-tribe elder? B-but I'm all alone? T-the last sungazer..."

Sang-mi hugged the lone guardian tight and this time, Trip didn't shy away.

"Not anymore, you're not." Sang-mi hummed. "You got your amazing girlfriends!"

"Mm, I-" Trip tried before Jade Surge grabbed her sister as she ran past.

"Wha- Surge! What are you-" Sang-mi tried before she saw not only the other Surge, now sporting a black eye giving chase but also a yellow cat and a pink hedgehog dashing towards them at high speeds.

"Even I can't stand up against an entire fucking polycule!" Jade Surge laughed as she sped through a wormhole that appeared out of nowhere as they so often did.

'I really need to call Trip.' Sang-mi thought as they arrived in their own dimension.

Sang-mi suddenly appears in the middle of the Amycule.

She smiles when she notices who's around her.

"Oh hey! Long time no see! You're the Surgecule aren't you?"

“Hey! The Surecule! I like that name,” Surge grinned, stroking her chin.

“We are not calling our polycule that, Surge,” Amy snickered.

“Oh yes, because Gaia forbid we try and dethrone you, oh mighty leader of the AMYcule,” Surge scoffed.

“You’d best remember whose house you’re living in,” Amy grinned.

Sang-mi chuckled, then turned to see an unfamiliar yellow cat with black hair staring up at her.

“Uhhhh…is this another wormhole thing?” Honey asked, “Who is this mega Surge girl?”

“Oh! My apologies,” Sang-mi said, “I didn’t realize you were here. My name is Sang-mi. I’m Surge’s sister in another world.”

“Ohhh!” Honey snickered, turning to her Surge, “Is that the Surge that called you a whore?”

“Nah, that one was kinda chill, if I remember,” Surge shrugged.

“Well, I’m Honey the Cat,” she said, extending her hand to Sang-mi, “I’m a more recent addition to the, er…Surgecule as you called it.”

“Ah! Ah! See?!” Surge gloated, turning to Amy, “The name’s catching on!”

Amy just rolled her eyes.

“It’s nice to meet you Honey,” Sang-mi smiled, “And it’s nice to see my sister meeting new people and becoming close with them.”

“Oh, of course,” Honey chuckled, walking over to Surge and slapping her on the butt, “She gets all the bitches.”

“Honey! Don’t use such language in front of our guest,” Blaze chastised.

“And get your fucking had off my ass!” Surge blushed.

Honey grinned cheekily while Sang-mi giggled.

“You all certainly are a lively bunch.”

“You have no idea,” Amy sighed.

Sang-mi has somehow gained control over a tumblr wormhole and is using it to pat the different Lanolins on the head.

*pat pat*

Still on the phone with her uncle, Lanolin gave a shout of alarm at the unexpected contact and looked up to see a green tenrec that sort of looked like Surge give a cheery wave and leave through a wormhole.

"Everything alright lass?"

Turning back to her phone she said, "Uncle Philip do you know anything about the rise wormhole activity?

"This'll sound daft but I wouldn't worry about it."

"It really feels like something I should be worrying about," Lanolin countered. "A strange woman appeared through a wormhole, patted my head and then left!"

"And? Is that a bad thing?"

Lanolin faltered, "Well no but-"

"Lass, the universe just gave you a random act of kindness. Take heart in the fact that there are people who care about you so much that they're willing to break the laws of space-time provide any kind of comfort."

Taking in his words, a smile spread across her face, "You're right, and maybe one day I'll get the chance to thank them."

There's a cool new anthology coming out!

Heyyy y'all- there's this really cool anthology called Academy 27 and it's coming out onthe 26th of March! It was written by really talented people and is being published by the same people! Sang-mi has somehow gained control over a tumblr wormhole and is using it to pat the different Lanolins on the head.

(Road Out of Ruin) Lanolin had finally found herself a nice little opportunity to snooze away the afternoon in her office. Sure, it was perhaps not the most glamorous or restful of positions, but sleeping slumped in your chair and snoring was absolutely better than not sleeping at all, right? So deep in her dozing was she, that she didn't even notice the swirling little vortex popping up over her head. At least, not until the hand slipped out and gave her a pat on the head. "BwRRGHBLB!" A horrible panicked noise escaped the sheep and she instinctively reached up and snatched the wrist of the arm, giving it a hard tug. Sang-mi found herself tumbling out of the wormhole, and Lanolin found herself a landing pad.

The result was the sheep, eyes desperately fighting to clear the bleariness from them, coming to focus on what appears to be a tall tenrec woman sitting atop her lap, more or less nose to nose, centimeters apart from their lips meeting. For a second, she genuinely thought a really big Surge landed on her. Sang-mi, meanwhile, made a small sound somewhat akin to an engine dying, sputtering and then promptly fainting atop the sheep.

"Um." Lanolin had turned unbelievably red, hover-handing behind the tenrec. She was too bewildered to even be mad about her sleep being robbed from her. Looking around nervously, she carefully lifted the girl back up. "L-Let's, uh... Just put that back where we got it, and..." With a heave and a grunt, she hucked the tenrec back through her little portal, which shut behind her.

Now, to never ever talk about any of that to anyone.
