NOOOOO!!#genuinely hope they're weird and stilted around each other forever bc they push each others buttons just by existing #langdon is never going to not be a man in a position of power who mistreated santos #and santos is never not going to be the one who lit the gunpowder trail for his life exploding #therefore i genuinely don't see how they would ever move towards anything beyond basic civility #like from a practical employment standpoint they will need to get to a place where they can work together #but friends? like choosing to be around each other on purpose? i can't conceptualize it #i can potentially see a scenario where langdon tries to push further to be on nicer terms #not because he actively wants to be friends but because his front-footed perfectionism can't handle someone not fucking with him so hard #but santos is absolutely not the type to be the bigger person and play nice so she would shut that shit Down #ultimately the state i forsee them sort of asymptotically approaching is that of half-thawed tundra #never gonna be warm but the ice isn't quite as thick anymore as a sheer product of proximity and time #btw shoutout to road_rythm's generational shadowgast fic hard mouth for introducing this term to my vernacular five years ago #also for crystal clarity this is NOT ship art #the paintings i duped here are dog and wild duck by alexandre francois-desportes #and the rearing horse by franz müller-munster #sangdon #<- for filing purposes

THE PITT 2.08 2:00 P.M.

Okay but trinity and Garcia being hot and heavy at the beginning of their situationship and of course they say they’re casual but they’re also like obsessed with each other and things are good for a while. But then Garcia starts taking rain checks more often and even when she’s there she’s different and less present- always on her phone and leaving suddenly for reasons that sound so fake. Trinity resents that she couldn’t even put effort into blowing her off anymore.

Come to find out that Garcia and Langdon went to med school together and used to socialize outside of work sometimes when they were the only one each other knew at PMTC. So Garcia know’s Abby. Abby who is having a rough 10 months raising two kids by herself while still trying to decide if she even wants to make this marriage work. So when Garcia texts her to ask about how Langdon’s doing and how is she doing and does she need anything they get back in touch and one thing leads to another. Frank’s not even that mad about it. He knew chances are good he would have lost Abby anyway and he’s trying so hard to take responsibility for his actions. And if his verbal sparring with Garcia is a little less playful no one really notices.

Except of course Trinity who has been hyper focused on Garcia trying to sus out what’s going on. So she corners Langdon and he spills the beans. Abby and Garcia have been hooking up since before he got out of rehab and Abby has filed for divorce. He’s trying to move out since Garcia is there more often than not these days but finding an apartment is hard and he’s still tight on money from paying for rehab. Trinity before she even thinks about it offers up Dennis’ room since he’s still house sitting for Robby. And immediately is thinking shit shit shit abort . Unfortunately for her, after Langdon’s done looking like a deer caught in the headlights of an 18 wheeler, he awkwardly accepts.

And that’s how Langdon and Santos end up as mopey roommates after both getting dumped. They are both expecting a shit show but surprisingly they are very compatible roommates and soon they are watching trash tv and talking shit about everyone and everything while eating copious amounts of junk food. Eventually Dennis moves back in and it’s still surprisingly not weird. Except now Trinity keeps walking into rooms to find Frank and Dennis standing unnecessarily close together until they notice her and jump apart- usually knocking something off in their flailing. But that’s not really Trinity’s business she guesses.
