It was a rather nice day, in the kitsune's opinion. It wasn't too humid out, and the sun's appearance led a pleasant warmth to the day. The tree she lay in, arms under her head, wasn't a particularly comfortable one, knobs and burls digging their way into strange places on her back. Although, it was far better than the alternative.
The woman tilted her head to look beneath her, where the village's mob had mostly fallen asleep. The headsman was long-ago passed out, and only a few stragglers stayed awake. She had to hand it to them, they were quite dedicated, as it was now mid-morning after the day she had arrived. More amused than upset, she had allowed them to tree her and send for a taijiya to exterminate the fox. After all, maintaining her normal appearance was her own fault, but that they ignored her miko robes completely was just galling. And, she mused to herself, she'd never met a taijiya.
