Chachan went to the Sanguine Shadow’s Hot Wings night yesterday! Where he made a new friend, bumped into @meandering-mind‘s Maril and updated her about his recent break-in, and tried the Spice Challenge!

Unfortunately, he seems to have gotten used to the spices of the Quicksand because he went up against those Ifrit’s Nail dodo wings and... didn’t do so hot. (For comparison, you have to beat a 500 roll, then a 600, 700, and finally 800 to win the challenge. My first roll was a 25. Thanks RNG!) At least he had the foresight to have some Rolanberry lassi handy and had some popoto skins to eat as well!

... Perhaps the failure was in balance for the (OOC) successful climb to the top of the building made before the place opened for business...

Umbra <Mafia> is currently recruiting!

On the surface, The Sanguine Shadow is a simple Gridanian dive bar that provides comfort food, drinks, and the occasional entertainment for the general public.

However, for those with either a keen eye, or the right connections, The Sanguine Shadow’s existence serves a double-purpose— steady income, and the public front for the underground operations of the family that resides there— Umbra.

Thievery, extortion, racketeering, spying, information-gathering, drug dealing, smuggling, settling underworld disputes, assassination—these are but some of the things that the Umbra family offers.

Above all else, the Umbra family takes care of its own. Family is first and foremost their top priority, and even beyond the desire for gil and action that drives the members of Umbra to seek to apply their trade, they look out for one another in all that they do—their unwavering loyalty and camaraderie to the family triumphs over all, and they will stop at nothing to ensure that this remains so.

Blood is thicker than water.
