It’s all a very clumsy situation. Maybe not caused directly, but some rough-housing pair of strangers on the other side of them had toppled one of the library’s many shelves. 

Potemkin holds it up one handed, and winces only a bit as he’s pelted by falling books, from a shelf only a couple feet taller than he is. He’s more preoccupied by the gentleman that was next to him, and doing his best to block any falling tomes from hitting him as well.

of course, what he last remembers completely contradicts his current state of being. he patched himself up a bit, he knows that, but how long was he out? he doesn’t even recognize where he is now. for that matter, where he’s... supposed to be. 

apart from being confused, his nerves are shot, to say the least.

“There’s no other explanation, is there?” he hopes that it’s something other than what he’s thinking. then again, he’s thinking a few things. none of which make sense.

“D.. You can feel it, can’t you?”

A serious tone came from the Left Hand as D found himself meeting a very peculiar man. His looks were enough to make many swoon, just in the same way as D was often described. He got an immense sense of familiarity from the blond haired man. While this was not proof of anything, it was enough to make D suspect something. That perhaps, he was not alone here.

“You.. What is your name?”

     “It’s nice being like this, isn’t it?”

Finally, another proper date. And maybe with less melancholy feeling to it, though Richter would admit that their first proper date did need that. Still, it was hard not to be sucked into the good, wholesome feeling that filled the air around them. The vampire hunter practically clung to Alucard’s arm, a bright smile on his face. 

They opted to simply walk around the boardwalk for now and would probably pop into the other wards just to see what else there was. Richter did want to go to the candle lighting later that night, just to get some final feelings out for Annette. And, well, maybe the dhampir would like a moment of peace as well - though, watching the fireworks could be nice too.

But, that was neither here nor there. Right now, the brunette was focused on making sure Alucard was having a good time right now. Sure, they would probably enjoy reading more than this, but Richter wanted to make sure Alucard got out and enjoyed the sun. Even a creature of the night needed some sunlight. Pale cerulean eyes peeked at what other couples were doing, just to see. Things like this really weren’t something they did. Modern times were still lost on him.

     “There’s a lot to do here, but I’m not sure what we      should do first... I’m fine with walking around of course,      but we should make the most of what’s around us,      right?”

          SCARCE HAS SHE SENSED IT, this city brimming with many species and creatures yet nigh devoid of those belonging to her kind. perhaps this is what causes her to stop, glancing in the direction of a stranger. though others were around them, it was fairly few that allows her to draw forward, carefully as to not impose on the other too much. what she was thought was purely vampiric was faded out upon second look, noting something with more touch of human now that she looks. perhaps he had yet to know her presence there, let alone ill manners of staring, before she speaks up when several others had finally vacated the small portions of the street.

          ❝ You’re... human? No... vampire? ❞ both could be easily sensed, mingling within one another as she attempts to understand which he truly is.

She screeched, and lunged at him for the fourth time. Emiya was silent, as he jabbed her in the chest once more. The end had broken off his makeshift weapon, leaving him with just the handle. It was long enough to keep her back from him, at least.

Pinning the shambler to a wall, he watched her, face unreadable. He’d never anticipated seeing her again, let alone like this. He stared, as she screeched and clawed at him. It wasn’t until he saw a shadow nearby did he look away.

“... I don’t think she’s infectious. None of them seem to be.” He commented to the other man, turning his gaze back to Shirley silently. She tried to move, and he pushed her back. She was strong, but too frightened to fight back. Guilt stabbed through him, if only for a moment.

She let out a sorrowful cry, clawing uselessly at the newcomer. It almost seemed like she wanted help, her eyes full of fear. Blood spilled from her mouth, as a sob shook through her young body.

     “I don’t know. I once told Annette that I had too much blood      of a vampire hunter and that it was good to let some of it out.      But maybe I’m a little smarter than Trevor...”

He appreciates the pat. A headpat would be nice.

With much thought and some tears I'd like to drop Adrian "Alucard" Tepes from Castlevania for now. He was housed in Condo 409. I think it's time to let him take a nap! I'll probably be bringing him back around when he's not so sleepy!

Dropped for...me! Sheds a single tear.
