Ldem is a narrow passage under a wooden roof especially in villages. It's not a private passage but a common passage. Houses and sheds are built above it leaving the free passage as it is. . If blocked or used for a private need, the owner might be objectionable for misuse of the public passage. . Such passages are hard to find these days. .
