It occurred to me just now that they way that T.T. got it’s “gender” is the same way human babies do. Tera just decided that it was a girl and started referring to it as such. To be fair to Tera, she thinks of T.T. as her second mind. I originally used it to refer to T.T. in prose but because Tera kept calling it “she” everyone thought T.T. was a girl and so I decided to just make T.T. a girl. But, T.T. is a plant and does not have a gender, so, I’m going to return to referring to T.T. with it pronouns in prose.

I just remembered why Tera had gold skin. It has to do with dead skin cells, like the dead grass. Instead I realize that this doesn’t make much sense either way.

Either Tera’s skin becomes sentient skin cells or for some reason they aren’t reanimated. I think that may be taking things a little far though and I like Tera not having golden skin anyway.

That post I read that was reblogged by keldin-ksp about whitewashing of covers really made me sad. I was thinking of my own cover for Sanmalari which depicts Tera faded inside of a solar eclipse.

Of course, I’m not the kind of guy who practices such things (being black and not a douchebag and all) but it just made me think of it, when really the only reason I did it was because I lacked any sort of artistic skill in drawing Tera on the cover.

In case you were curious, Tera is of faux-Asian descent (I say faux-Asian descent because she is an Elf.)

The use of italics in Sanmalari is gross. Like, why is every 100th word italicized? It's not necessary, why did I do this? (/-\)
